Affiliate Disclosure

Plumbing Picks (plumbingpicks.com) is reader-supported. This page explains how we make money, in plain terms.

Amazon Associates

Plumbing Picks is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. When you click a link to Amazon from this site and buy something, we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Other Affiliate Programs

We may also participate in affiliate programs run by other retailers and manufacturers of plumbing and water-treatment products. The same rule applies everywhere on this site: if a link can earn us a commission, buying through it never changes the price you pay.

How Recommendations Are Made

Product picks are selected by a licensed plumber based on field experience, manufacturer specifications, parts availability, and owner feedback — never on commission rates. We do not accept payment for placement in our guides, and we do not let affiliate relationships change a verdict. If a product is bad, we say so or we leave it out. Our full selection process is documented separately.

Sponsored Content and Ads

We do not currently publish sponsored posts. If that ever changes, sponsored content will be clearly labeled.

Questions

If anything here is unclear, contact us through the contact page.

How affiliate links are marked

Links that take you to Amazon to buy a product are affiliate links. In the page code they are marked as sponsored links so search engines know they are paid. Links to manufacturers, code books, government agencies and other sources are ordinary links, and we earn nothing from them.

Prices and availability

Guides do not list prices, because prices on Amazon change often. Amazon shows the current price, seller, stock and delivery date on its own product page. Before you buy, match the exact model number, size and connection type to the guide and to the maker’s specifications.

What commissions do not change

A product is never included because it pays more, and no brand pays for placement. If the right answer for your situation is a part that earns us nothing, or a licensed plumber rather than a product, the guide says so.

Questions about this disclosure

This disclosure applies to every page on plumbingpicks.com, including guides, comparisons, calculators and the home page. If you have a question about how a product was chosen or how a link works, use the address on the contact page.

How we decide what to link

A guide links to a product only after the exact model has been matched to the maker’s own specifications. We check that the listing describes the same model, size and finish, and that it can be ordered new. If a listing changes, goes out of stock or stops matching the maker’s details, we update the link or remove it. Sometimes the right answer is a part from your local supply house or a licensed plumber, and the guide says so even though we earn nothing from it.

Amazon pays the same commission rate whichever product you choose in a category, so we have no reason to push a pricier model. You can also buy any product we mention from another store; the guides are written to help you choose, wherever you shop.
