A stainless kitchen faucet usually has a brushed, satin look that matches stainless sinks and appliances. Makers name and code the finish differently: Moen uses SRS for Spot Resist Stainless, and American Standard uses 075 for its PVD stainless steel finish. For other finishes, see our chrome, brushed nickel and black kitchen faucet guides.

American Standard Renate 9319310.075: Re-Trax and pause

American Standard Edgewater 4932300.075: four sprays

Choose the Edgewater for the most spray options here. It lists a 17-7/16-inch height, and a 9-inch reach; the sheet does not list a maximum deck thickness. Spot resist and PVD finishes

Moen calls its finish Spot Resist on both the Ronan and Swyre sheets. American Standard lists its stainless option as a PVD finish, code 075, on both the Renate and Edgewater sheets. Neither sheet makes a durability claim we could compare, so treat the finish names as a guide to the look rather than a performance ranking. Moen’s warranty for both faucets covers finish defects to the original homeowner.

Holes and deck plates

Both Moen faucets list installation through 1, 2, 3 or 4 holes, and the Swyre names one of those holes for a soap dispenser. The Renate installs with or without a deck plate, and the Edgewater lists its deck plate as a separate part. If your sink has extra holes, a soap dispenser can fill one; see our soap dispenser guide.

Spray controls

The Moens add a boosted spray: PowerClean on the Ronan and Power Boost on the Swyre. The Ronan also lists SwivelControl, which Moen says directs water where you want it. The Renate has stream, spray and pause. The Edgewater has the most modes, with stream, spray, mist and jet plus pause, chosen by toggling into spray mode and turning a dial. For more pull-down options, see our pull-down kitchen faucet guide.

Supply lines and cartridges

All four list 3/8-inch compression connections at the supply stop. Moen lists flexible supply lines with 3/8-inch fittings and Duralock quick connect on both of its faucets. American Standard lists 35-inch braided supply hoses on the Renate and braided stainless supply hoses on the Edgewater. For cartridges, both Moens use the 1255 Duralast, the Renate a 28 mm ceramic disc and the Edgewater a 35 mm ceramic disc, so note the part before you need it. If a faucet later drips or the handle stiffens, see our faucet cartridge guide.
