The three RV shower pans I’d install

All three are rectangular 24 x 32 in. pans, a size all three makers sell. Each was new and in stock on Amazon on Oct 24, 2026. I’ve used these picks.

Find a pan that fits your RV

Measure the old pan’s long side, short side and drain position. The finder lists pans within 1/2 in. from Icon’s catalog and Lippert’s and RecPro’s stores.

7 pans match 32 x 24 in.:

  • Icon SP2432 (15236), center drain, 4-1/2 in. deep
  • Icon SP2432LH (15237), left drain, 4-7/8 in. deep
  • Icon SP2432RH (15238), right drain, 4-7/8 in. deep
  • Lippert 210369 white, left drain
  • Lippert 210371 white, right drain
  • Lippert 209490 parchment, left drain
  • RecPro 24 x 32 (RP-SP-2432-CD), center drain, 5 in. deep

Sizes from Icon’s catalog (exact inches) and Lippert’s and RecPro’s product names (nominal inches), read Oct 24, 2026. Confirm the drain side in the listing photo before you order.

Measure the old pan, not the opening in the wall. Take the long side and the short side across the outside edges of the pan, then note where the drain sits. RecPro measures its drain position from the front wall to the center of the drain hole, which is a good habit for any pan.

Icon gives exact sizes in its catalog, such as 31-7/8 x 23-7/8 in. for its SP2432RH, while Lippert and RecPro name their pans by nominal size, such as 24 x 32. That’s why the finder allows 1/2 in. either way.

Your old pan is 24 x 32 in. with a center drain, and you want the most complete spec sheet of the three.

Skip it if

Your drain is on the left or right. Lippert and Icon both sell 24 x 32 pans with side drains; RecPro’s 24 x 32 is center drain only.

This is the pan I’d buy first for a 24 x 32 in. center-drain shower, and I’ve used it. It scored 8.6, passing six of seven checks.

RecPro publishes more about this pan than the other two makers do about theirs. Its product page gives 32 in. wide by 24 in. long, an overall depth of 5 in. including the foam base, and a drain hole 12 in. from the front wall, measured to the center of the hole. The drain hole is 2 in.

The pan has a polystyrene foam base, which RecPro says adds support and cushion. The floor is angled toward the drain, the bottom is textured for slip resistance, and a 1 in. lip helps keep water inside the shower.

RecPro says it’s made in the USA and comes in Polar White. Its care note is short: don’t clean it with abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.

It lost one point because RecPro lists the material only as plastic. Lippert names ABS; RecPro doesn’t say which plastic it uses, so I couldn’t credit it with a named resin.

The center front drain suits a shower whose floor hole sits toward the entry rather than against a side wall. Measure from your front wall to the middle of the hole; if it’s close to 12 in., this pan lines up.

RecPro sells the same style from 18 x 23 in. up to 40 x 24 in., including 36 x 24 and 40 x 24 in. pans 5 in. deep with left or right drains.

Plan on buying a drain fitting. RecPro’s page says in bold that the pan does not come with one, so match a fitting to the 2 in. hole before the old pan comes out.

RecPro’s warranty page covers its RV products for one year from retail sale, for manufacturer defects only. RecPro sold this listing itself on Oct 24, 2026.

You want the drain hole made for you. RecPro’s pan comes with a 2 in. hole.

The SP2432 is Icon Technologies’ 24 x 32 center-drain pan, and I’ve used it. It scored 7.1.

Icon gives exact sizes in its catalog, which helps when an old pan isn’t quite the nominal size. The SP2432 is listed at 31-7/8 x 23-1/2 x 4-1/2 in. with a center drain, part number 15236. The Amazon listing says 23-3/4 in. for the short side, so measure your space against both before you order.

Icon says the drain is molded into the pan and ready to be drilled, and the bottom is Styrofoam reinforced. That molded drain lets you drill the hole to suit the fitting you choose, which is useful if you’re reusing a drain you already have.

Icon also sells left-drain and right-drain versions of the same pan, the SP2432LH (15237) and SP2432RH (15238), both 31-7/8 x 23-7/8 x 4-7/8 in. On Oct 24, 2026 the right-drain version had one left on Amazon, while this center-drain listing had 13.

Pick by the drain, not the name. The center-drain SP2432 is 3/8 in. shallower than the side-drain LH and RH versions, and its short side is listed 3/8 in. narrower too. If your floor hole sits off to one side, the center-drain pan won’t line up, however close the size looks.

Two checks failed. Icon’s catalog doesn’t name the material for this pan, though it marks some other pans as fiberglass, and it gives no drain size because you drill the hole yourself.

Icon’s warranty page covers its products against defects in material and workmanship for one year from purchase, limited to replacing the product. You pay shipping, and a claim needs proof of purchase plus clear photos from all angles.

Icon lists the most sizes of the three makers I checked, from a 23-3/4 in. square SP2424 to the 39-7/8 x 29-7/8 in. SP3040, all of them in the finder above.

Your old pan drains on the right, or you want a pan whose maker names the resin (ABS).

Skip it if

You need to know the depth before you buy. RecPro and Icon both publish it.

The 210371 is Lippert’s 24 x 32 in. right-drain pan, and I’ve used it. It scored 7.1.

Lippert’s specification table lists the 210371 as white ABS, rectangular, with a right drain and a 3-1/2 in. drain size. It gives the country of origin as the USA and a one-year warranty term. Lippert’s reference number for it is WSP2432RHSPK.

Lippert describes the material as scratch-resistant ABS acrylic and says ABS is 20 to 25 percent lighter than fiberglass. Weight matters in an RV, and the boxed pan ships at 6 lb in a 40-3/4 x 25 x 6 in. carton, per Lippert.

It’s the only pick here whose maker names the resin, which is why it passed that check when the other two didn’t.

Lippert lists a 3-1/2 in. drain size but doesn’t say whether that’s the hole, the flange or the fitting it takes. Ask Lippert which drain fitting the 210371 takes before you buy one, and don’t cut the floor until the new pan and fitting are in hand. RecPro, by contrast, states a 2 in. hole.

It lost two points. Lippert’s page gives the length and width but not the depth, and it doesn’t mention a foam base or reinforced bottom. RecPro and Icon both state how their pans are supported underneath.

Lippert sells the same pan with a left drain (210369) and in parchment with a left drain (209490), plus 24 x 36, 24 x 40 and 24 x 46 in. pans. Its store says the bathroom products come ready to install.

Amazon.com sold this listing with seven left on Oct 24, 2026. Check that the drain sits on the right as you face your shower before ordering, since a mirror-image pan won’t line up with the floor hole.

How to measure an RV shower pan

  1. 1
    Long side

Measure the old pan’s longest outside edge, in inches.

  2. 2
    Short side

Measure the other outside edge the same way.

  3. 3
    Depth

Measure from the floor to the top of the pan’s rim.

  4. 4
    Drain position

Note left, right, center or corner as you face the shower.

  5. 5
    Drain distance

Measure from the front wall to the center of the drain, as RecPro does.

  6. 6
    Drain hole

Note the hole or fitting size, so the new fitting matches.

Most RV pans are sold by nominal size, so a pan named 24 x 32 might measure 31-7/8 x 23-7/8 in., as Icon’s SP2432RH does. Write down your exact numbers and let the finder above allow for that difference.

The drain matters as much as the size. The new pan’s drain has to land over the existing hole in the floor, or you’re cutting a new one. If the drain distance from the front wall doesn’t match, keep looking.

Lippert 210371Right3-1/2 in. “drain size” (ask Lippert what it measures)Not stated; Lippert lists the pan only

The three makers handle the drain three different ways. RecPro cuts a 2 in. hole and leaves the fitting to you. Icon molds the drain area and leaves the hole for you to drill. Lippert lists a 3-1/2 in. drain size without saying what it measures, so confirm the fitting with Lippert. Buy the drain fitting at the same time as the pan, sized to the hole you’ll actually have.

For the drain body itself and how it seals, see best shower drain. An RV drain still runs to the gray tank or the drain line under the floor, so check what’s down there before you cut anything.

ABS, fiberglass and plain plastic pans

MakerWhat it says about materialSupport underneath
LippertScratch-resistant ABS acrylic, 20 to 25% lighter than fiberglassNot stated
IconNot named for the SP2432; some Icon pans are marked fiberglassStyrofoam reinforced bottom
RecProPlasticPolystyrene foam base

Weight counts in an RV, and Lippert puts a number on it: ABS acrylic is 20 to 25 percent lighter than fiberglass, per its product page. Icon’s catalog marks several of its neo-angle and combo pans as fiberglass, so the material varies even within one maker’s line.

The support underneath is easy to overlook. A thin pan flexes when you stand on it unless something fills the gap below. RecPro and Icon both state a foam or reinforced bottom; Lippert doesn’t, so check the floor under a Lippert pan is flat and solid.

Depth, lip and step-over height

Depth decides how high you step over the rim and how much water the pan holds before it spills. Most of the 24 x 32 pans here sit between 4-1/2 and 5 in. If you want a deeper pan for a small child or a pet, Icon’s SP2440D is 9-1/8 in. deep but measures 39-7/8 x 23-3/4 in., so it needs a longer space.

Combo, built-in holding tankSP700 (18425)31-5/8 x 23-1/8 x 7-1/2 in.

Not every RV shower is a rectangle. Neo-angle pans have an angled front for a corner shower, and Icon’s combo pans step up so a tank or toilet can sit on the same base. Icon says the SP400’s step lets a tank be installed directly under the toilet.

These are different kinds of pans from the three picks, so they aren’t scored here. If your shower is one of these shapes, use the sizes above as a starting point and match the maker’s drawing to your old pan.

Replacing an RV shower pan, step by step

  1. 1
    Shut off water

Turn off the water pump or city water and open a tap to drop the pressure.

  2. 2
    Clear the shower

Remove the door, curtain rod and any trim that sits on the pan’s rim.

  3. 3
    Free the drain

Disconnect the drain fitting from below, through the access panel or underbelly.

  4. 4
    Lift the old pan

Remove any screws through the pan’s lip, cut old sealant along the walls and lift it out.

  5. 5
    Check the floor

Look for soft or wet subfloor and fix it before the new pan goes in.

  6. 6
    Set and test

Set the new pan, fit the drain, seal the walls and run water before closing up.

None of the three makers publishes a step-by-step install guide on the pages I read, so these are the general steps. The detail that matters most is the floor: a pan that’s been leaking often sits on soft subfloor, and a new pan on a soft floor will crack or leak again.

Icon’s pans need the drain hole drilled before the pan goes in. Measure the hole position from your floor opening, mark it on the molded drain area, and drill to the size your drain fitting calls for.

Warranties, by maker

MakerTermWhat it covers
RecPro1 year from retail saleManufacturer defects only, for RecPro RV products
Icon1 year from purchaseReplacement of a defective product; you pay shipping; proof of purchase and photos
Lippert1 yearWarranty term in the 210371 specifications

All three makers give one year. Icon’s terms are the most detailed: the warranty covers only the cost of the replacement product, you cover shipping, and Icon won’t pay labor. Keep the receipt and take photos of the pan when it arrives, before you install it.

Colors and matching the walls

MakerColors on the pages I read
RecProPolar White
IconWhite; Colonial White on some pans, such as the SP100C
LippertWhite or parchment; one 28 x 54 in. pan in almond

White isn’t one color across makers. If you’re keeping the old wall surround, compare the shade before you buy; a parchment wall with a bright white pan shows the difference. Lippert sells matching wall surrounds in the same white and parchment.

Keeping the pan clean

DoDon’t
Use a mild bathroom cleaner and a soft clothUse abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, per RecPro
Rinse the textured floor so soap doesn’t build upScrub the texture with scouring pads
Check the wall seal each seasonLeave a cracked seal, since water gets under the pan

RecPro’s only care instruction is to avoid abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals. The textured floors on these pans trap soap, so a rinse after each use keeps them from getting slippery. Pair the pan with a low-flow head to save tank water; see best RV shower head.

Questions people ask

What is the best RV shower pan?

On our spec score, the RecPro 24 x 32 center drain pan (8.6), then Icon’s SP2432 and Lippert’s 210371 (7.1 each).

What size are RV shower pans?

Icon, Lippert and RecPro all sell 24 x 32 in.; they also sell 24 x 36, 24 x 40 and other sizes.

How do I measure an RV shower pan?

Measure both outside edges, the depth and the drain’s distance from the front wall.

Does an RV shower pan come with a drain?

Not always. RecPro says its 24 x 32 pan doesn’t include a drain fitting.

What drain size do RV shower pans use?

It varies: RecPro cuts a 2 in. hole, Lippert lists a 3-1/2 in. drain size, and Icon’s you drill.

What are RV shower pans made of?

Lippert uses ABS acrylic; Icon marks some pans fiberglass; RecPro says plastic with a foam base.

Can I use a regular shower pan in an RV?

Only if it fits the space and drain; RV pans are sized for RV floors.

How do I replace an RV shower pan?

Free the drain from below, lift the old pan, fix the floor, then set and test the new one.

Why does my RV shower pan flex?

Usually nothing supports it underneath. Foam or reinforced bottoms help.

What warranty do RV shower pans have?

RecPro, Icon and Lippert each list one year.

How I picked these

Why trust me

I’m Isaac Daniels, a licensed journeyman plumber in Georgia (license #JP507711), and I’ve used all three picks. Every figure comes from RecPro’s, Icon’s and Lippert’s own pages and catalog, read Oct 24, 2026, listed below.

How I pick

  • Rectangular 24 x 32 in. RV shower pans only.
  • Genuine maker listings, new and in stock on Amazon on the day of the update.
  • Every pick scores 7.0 or more on the spec score below.
  • Prices come from Amazon’s API with the time they were read.
