Which to buy: for a 1.6-gallon AquaFlush toilet valve, get the Zurn P6000-ECR-WS1-RK rebuild kit, which per Zurn’s kit page adds handle and vacuum breaker parts, or the Zurn P6000-ECR-WS1 diaphragm kit if you are only replacing the inside working parts. Zurn’s manual lists different rebuild kit contents; see below. For a 3.5-gallon toilet valve, the Zurn P6000-ECR-WS diaphragm kit. Match the gallons marked for your valve; urinal and other volume kits on this page are not linked.

Quick answer: A Zurn AquaFlush exposed flush valve takes a repair kit matched to two things: whether it flushes a toilet (closet) or a urinal, and how many gallons it flushes. Zurn presets each valve to the fixture volume marked on its carton. Then choose between a diaphragm kit (the inside working parts) and a rebuild kit, which adds handle, vacuum breaker and tailpiece O-ring parts. If your valve says AquaVantage rather than AquaFlush, it has its own P6000-ECA kits.

  • Toilet valve, 1.6 gallons: diaphragm kit P6000-ECR-WS1, or rebuild kit P6000-ECR-WS1-RK.
  • Toilet valve, 3.5 gallons: diaphragm kit P6000-ECR-WS, or rebuild kit P6000-ECR-WS-RK.
  • Urinal valve, 1.0 or 1.5 gallons: diaphragm kit P6000-EUR-WS1 or P6000-EUR-WS; Zurn’s site lists the 1.5-gallon rebuild kit as P6000-EUR-WS-RK.
  • Handle leaks: Zurn’s troubleshooting first says to tighten the handle assembly. If the handle parts need replacing, the handle repair kit P6000-MK covers them; that alone does not need a full kit.

This guide is from Zurn’s AquaFlush exposed flushometer manual (FV250, revision C, dated January 6, 2026) and Zurn’s kit pages, read October 10, 2026. We have not tested these kits. The three buy links are the exact Zurn P6000-ECR-WS1-RK, P6000-ECR-WS1 and P6000-ECR-WS kits whose Amazon offers were checked on October 10, 2026 as new, sold by Amazon.com and in stock; offers change, so check that the listing names the part number. Other kits on this page are not linked.

AquaFlush kits by fixture and flush volume

The manual covers the Z6000 series exposed valves: Z6000 and Z6010 water closet valves (1-1/2 in.), and Z6001 (1-1/4 in.) and Z6003 (3/4 in.) urinal valves. Its flow codes are -WS1 for 1.6 gallons (toilet) or 1.0 gallon (urinal), -WS for 3.5 or 1.5, -FF for full flow at 4.5 or 3.0, -HET for a 1.28-gallon toilet and -ULF for a 0.125-gallon urinal, the last two on Plus (PL) models only.

On a phone, the table scrolls sideways; the first column stays in place.

Zurn’s AquaFlush repair kits by fixture and gallons per flush (manual FV250 and Zurn kit pages).

The manual and Zurn’s current kit pages spell the rebuild kits differently (EC/EU in the manual, ECR/EUR on the site). Both are Zurn’s numbers; quote the one on the package you are buying and check that its gallons and fixture match your valve.

Zurn’s kit pages say the rebuild kits include a diaphragm repair kit, a handle repair kit, a vacuum breaker repair kit and a tailpiece O-ring. The manual’s list is different: items 3 to 8 (the handle parts), 11 (trip mechanism), 12 (diaphragm assembly), 24 (tailpiece O-ring) and 28 to 34 (the control stop’s piston seals, spring, guide parts and adjusting screw).

It names no vacuum breaker parts, while the kit pages name no control stop parts. Check the contents printed on the kit you buy; the vacuum breaker kit (P6000-B-HP) and the control stop kit (P6000-D-SD) are also sold on their own. Zurn’s pages describe the diaphragm as a dual-seal design with a clog-resistant bypass and say the kits fit any AquaFlush or diaphragm-type valve of the same fixture type, and that they are interchangeable with other makers’ flush valves. That last point is Zurn’s claim; check your valve maker’s kit list before relying on it.

AquaFlush or AquaVantage

Zurn’s diaphragm kit listing also carries AquaVantage parts under P6000-ECA numbers, including 1.1, 1.28, 1.6, 2.4, 3.5 and 4.5-gallon closet diaphragm assemblies and rebuild kits for most of those volumes. Read the name on your valve before ordering. The AquaFlush manual itself lists the AquaVantage-numbered P6000-ECA-HET as the 1.28-gallon kit for AquaFlush Plus valves, so a 1.28-gallon AquaFlush Plus valve is the one case where the manual points to an ECA part.

Other AquaFlush repair parts

  • Handle repair kit (side handle, items 4 to 8): P6000-MK. Complete ADA side handle assembly (items 1 to 8): P6000-M-ADA. Front-handle repair kit: P6000-MHK; front handle assembly: P6000-MH.
  • Vacuum breaker repair kit (items 14 and 15): P6000-B-HP.
  • Control stop repair kit for 1 in. and 3/4 in. stops (items 28 to 34): P6000-D-SD; VP control stop repair kit: P6000-D-VP.
  • Relief valve (trip mechanism): P6000-EC13 for a toilet valve, P6000-EU13 for a urinal valve.
  • Tailpiece O-ring: P6000-C31; adjustable tailpiece: P6000-J1.
  • Outside chrome cover: P6000-LL-CP; inside cover: P6000-L.

Before you rebuild

  • Zurn recommends 10 to 100 psi at the valve, and says most 1.28 and 1.6-gallon fixtures need at least 25 psi running pressure through the valve to clear properly.
  • The stop is opened and closed with the adjusting screw at the center of the stop cap; Zurn says not to remove the stop cap unless the main supply is shut off.
  • To replace the working parts, Zurn’s manual says to shut the stop first, then open the cover, replace the parts, refit the plastic cover and main valve body cover, and tighten.
  • After a system has been drained, Zurn flushes the supply piping with the valve’s working parts removed and the covers back on, then reinstalls the parts.
  • After the repair, Zurn sets the flow by slowly opening the stop while flushing until the fixture clears without too much water; a urinal should not overflow when it is flushed several times in succession.
  • Zurn warns against toothed wrenches on the chrome, and says to clean chrome with mild soap and water only.

When to skip a kit

  • Skip a closet kit on a urinal valve and the reverse; Zurn sells them separately for each gallon rating.
  • Skip any kit whose gallons do not match your valve’s marking or carton.
  • Skip AquaFlush ECR and EUR kits for an AquaVantage valve; Zurn lists P6000-ECA kits for AquaVantage. The 1.28-gallon case above runs the other way: an ECA-numbered kit that the AquaFlush manual names for AquaFlush Plus valves.
  • Skip a full rebuild kit for a handle leak alone. Zurn says to tighten the handle assembly first; P6000-MK replaces the handle parts if they need replacing.
