Choose the Centoco 700-301 for a round bowl in Crane White, or the 900SC-001 for an elongated bowl in White with slow close. Match the bowl profile and color code first, then confirm the hinge access and lid clearance.

Compare the shape, opening and closing feature
| Exact checked model | Shape / color | Overall width / opening W × L | Closing feature |
|---|---|---|---|
| 700-301 | Round / Crane White | 14-3/8 / 8-3/8 × 10-1/4 | 700 family; Safety Close not listed |
| 900SC-001 | Elongated / White | 14-1/4 / 8-1/4 × 12 | Safety Close slow-close hinge |
The 700 family specification image (file: www.centoco.com/images/specs/700.jpg) and 900SC specification image (file: www.centoco.com/images/specs/900SC.jpg) provide the width and opening labels. Both show a 5-1/2-inch bolt spread. Centoco calls the dimensions nominal, so use the full profile and your bowl measurements when confirming fit.
Both picks use Centocore wood, a polypropylene shell over a composite molded wood core. They are closed-front seats with covers: the seat ring continues across the front, and each has a lid. The 700-301 specification (centoco.com) and 900SC-001 specification (centoco.com) identify the exact shape, material and color.
700-301: round Centocore seat in Crane White
Choose the Centoco 700-301 if your bowl is round and you specifically want the maker’s Crane White color. Its model record (centoco.com) lists a closed front, cover, plastic bolts and hardware, a custom gasket and length adjustment during installation. The shape and color are the first reasons to choose this exact version.
The 700 family image shows a 14-3/8-inch overall width and an opening marked 8-3/8 inches wide by 10-1/4 inches long. Compare the outside shape with the porcelain, then consider whether the opening is the shape you prefer. The opening dimensions do not describe the full seat footprint or the bowl’s mounting-hole-to-front length. Use them to compare the openings, not as a substitute for the outer profile.
Skip it if your bowl is elongated, if Crane White is the wrong color, or if you want a documented slow-close feature. Centoco lists separate SC series in its product guide (centoco.com); the standard 700 record does not list Safety Close. Length adjustment should not be treated as a way to convert a round seat into an elongated one.
The standard new 700-301 offer checked on October 15, 2026 was sold by Amazon.com, showed stock and had an add-to-cart button. The model and manufacturer part number both matched 700-301, with Crane White selected.

900SC-001: elongated Centocore with slow close
Choose the Centoco 900SC-001 if you have an elongated bowl and want the maker’s Safety Close hinge. Its model record (centoco.com) lists Centocore wood, a closed front, cover, plastic bolts and hardware, a custom gasket and length adjustment. The checked color is White, code 001.
The 900SC drawing (file: www.centoco.com/images/specs/900SC.jpg) marks a 14-1/4-inch overall width and an opening 8-1/4 inches wide by 12 inches long. That opening is longer than the one shown for the round 700 family. It is not simply the round seat with a different hinge; the bowl shape must match.
Skip it for a round bowl or if you need a different shade. Also confirm that the raised lid and hinge position clear your tank. A matching bolt spread alone cannot establish that the lid will stay up or that the outer edge follows the bowl.
Centoco’s FAQ (centoco.com) says not to push or force its slow-close seats closed because doing so may damage the hinges. Choose the feature for its closing action. We have not tested hinge life or closing speed.
The standard new 900SC-001 offer checked on October 15, 2026 was sold by Amazon.com, showed stock and had an add-to-cart button. Its model and part number both matched, with White selected.

Measure the bowl, then compare the seat profile
Centoco’s measuring guidance (centoco.com) starts at the midpoint between the mounting holes and runs to the longest point at the front outside edge of the bowl. It also calls for measuring the bowl at its widest point. Use those same reference points when checking the current specification image.
The maker gives approximate bowl lengths of 16.5 inches for round and 18.5 inches for elongated. Those are shape-identification guides, not exact dimensions of the two seats recommended here. Do not replace the model drawing with a generic bowl-length number or a measurement of the old lid.
Check the bolt holes center to center, the outer bowl outline and the space behind the hinges. Both linked family drawings show a 5-1/2-inch spread, but that one measurement does not resolve every fit question. Compare the seat’s front and sides with the porcelain and check that the bumpers can sit where intended. Follow the dimension arrows in the current maker image rather than treating every length label as an adjustment-range limit.
If your bowl has an unusual outline or hidden mounting access, identify its exact make and model before ordering. Our toilet seat sizing guide explains the basic measurements. Keep the toilet model information available when using Centoco’s selector or asking the maker to confirm a match.
Match White and Crane White by code
The two offers here are different colors. The 700-301 is Crane White, while 900SC-001 is White. Centoco’s color key (centoco.com) distinguishes 301 from 001. Do not choose solely because both names contain the word white.
Find the toilet’s original color information if you can. Compare a physical sample or a reliable maker reference when a close match matters. A photo on a backlit screen does not establish how the seat will look next to porcelain in your bathroom.
Check the model and color again after changing an Amazon variant. Switching color can also change the linked product or package. The exact offers accepted for this page were checked with their listed model and part-number fields, rather than relying only on the search-result title.
If neither checked shade works for your toilet, find the correct color in the maker’s catalogue and verify a separate offer. Do not buy the wrong color just because the shape and closing feature appear suitable.
Centocore material and the features to verify
Centocore is the maker’s name for a polypropylene shell over a composite molded wood core. That construction description does not mean solid natural wood, nor does it make the whole seat an unfilled plastic molding. Choose it with a clear understanding of what the product record actually describes.
We have not compared these seats for warmth, flex, scratch resistance or long-term finish wear. Centoco makes durability claims for its shell-and-core design; this guide does not turn those claims into a measured performance ranking against another brand.
The exact pages list length adjustment for both picks. That is an installation feature for positioning the seat. It does not establish an unlimited adjustment range or guarantee that the seat fits every toilet with the same broad shape.
Check any extra feature separately. A slow-close designation does not, by itself, establish quick removal, a special fastener system or compatibility with a concealed bowl. If one of those features is essential, use the exact model record and delivered installation sheet to confirm it before buying.
Hardware access and care before installation
Look at how the old seat is fastened before starting the replacement. Centoco’s generic assembly instructions (centoco.com) place screws through the hinge slots and bowl holes from above, start the nuts underneath, then tighten from above. Access to the screw head does not mean the whole installation can be completed without access below.
Use the instructions supplied with the actual seat and hardware. The generic sheet is a reference for its described fastening arrangement; Centoco publishes separate guides for other systems. If the porcelain hides the underside or the old hardware will not release, confirm the correct approach before forcing a fastener.
After positioning, check the seat’s alignment and lid clearance. The maker recommends periodic checking and retightening of the nuts. A loose seat should prompt a check of the hardware and fit rather than an assumption that the bowl needs a different shape.
For cleaning, the maker recommends a soft, damp cloth and mild soap, and warns against bleach and abrasives. Keep the care sheet with the model number. Our broader toilet seat guide compares other choices if you need a different material, shape or removal feature.
Frequently asked questions
Which Centoco pick is for a round bowl?
The checked 700-301 is round. The 900SC-001 is elongated. Confirm your bowl measurements and the exact seat profile before buying.
Are White and Crane White the same Centoco code?
No. Centoco identifies White as 001 and Crane White as 301. The two checked offers use different codes, so compare the shade with your toilet before ordering.
What does Centocore wood mean?
Centoco describes it as a polypropylene shell over a composite molded wood core. That is the construction used by the two recommended models.
Can I force the 900SC seat down faster?
Centoco warns against pushing or forcing a slow-close seat because that may damage the hinges. Let the closing mechanism operate as instructed.
Does a 5-1/2-inch bolt spread prove the seat will fit?
No. Also compare the bowl shape, length, width, outer profile, hinge access and lid clearance. The bolt spacing is only one part of the fit check.
How we chose
We read Centoco’s exact model records, reviewed the 700 and 900SC specification images, and used the maker’s FAQ and generic assembly sheet for measurement, color and hardware guidance. We checked standard new Amazon offers on October 15, 2026 for exact model and part number, selected color, seller, stock and cart availability. We did not test comfort, hinge life or injury prevention. A polypropylene candidate with an unexplained model-number prefix was excluded. Read our selection method and about Plumbing Picks.
