Best Kitchen Faucet Brands (2026): Warranty and Parts

Plumbing Picks is reader-supported. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you.

Quick answer from a licensed plumber: There is no best kitchen faucet brand on the evidence we can check. Moen, Delta, Kohler, Pfister, American Standard and Grohe all publish limited lifetime warranties for the original buyer, none pays for labor, and every homeowner electronics term in their warranty documents is five years. The real differences are the receipt rule, the finish and cleaner limits, who you bought from, and the cartridge you can get parts for. Read the row that matches your worry.

A tiebreaker, with its basis: Delta is the only brand of the six whose warranty text lets a registered product skip the receipt. Keep the receipt anyway: Delta’s claim instructions still ask for the purchase date. See an example Delta model (Trinsic 9159-DST) on Amazon

Kitchen faucet brands look alike on paper: a lifetime warranty, a ceramic valve, a pull-down head. The differences sit in the fine print. This guide reads six makers’ own warranties, spec sheets and product pages side by side. We do not rank these brands. We have no failure or durability data for any of them; we compare what each maker’s documents say and label which document a claim comes from.

Sink fit matters as much as brand, so start with pull-down vs pull-out kitchen faucets and kitchen faucet hole size, then see our kitchen faucet guide. The Amazon links below are example models, one per brand.

Six Brands Compared: Warranty Terms

BrandHomeowner term, as writtenElectronicsReceipt or registration
MoenOriginal purchaser, for as long as they own the home; leaks, drips, parts and finishesMotionSense: 5 years on electronics box, spout and lensesOriginal sales receipt; registration not named in warranty text
DeltaOriginal purchaser, for as long as they own the home; parts and finishes5 years on electronic parts; batteries not coveredReceipt, unless the product is registered
KohlerOriginal purchaser, for as long as they own the home; leaks and drips, other parts, finishes5 years (separate electronic faucet warranty)Original sales receipt
PfisterOriginal residential purchaser, for as long as they occupy the home (PDF); mechanical, finish5 years on electrical componentsDated proof of purchase; claim within 30 days of discovery
American StandardFaucets: limited lifetime from date of purchase; original purchaser5 years; batteries not coveredProof of purchase (original sales receipt)
GroheMechanical parts: original purchaser, for as long as they own the home; finish: original purchaser5 years from the date of purchaseReceipt, purchase date and installation date

All six warranties are limited to the original buyer, and none pays for labor. Moen, Delta and Pfister say theirs are not transferable, and American Standard passes a contractor’s purchase to the first property owner. Every homeowner electronics term is five years, so the electronics warranty does not separate these brands. The table is our reading of each document, not legal advice.

Named cartridge and repair kits

Moen: Warranty, 1255 Cartridge and Parts

1255 Duralast cartridge · Warranty runs while the original buyer owns the home · Reflex docking · MotionSense: spout and electronics 5 years · Repair kits listed by part number

Warranty. Moen warrants “to the original consumer purchaser for as long as the original consumer purchaser owns their home” that the faucet “will be leak- and drip-free during normal use and all parts and finishes of this faucet will be free from defects in material and manufacturing workmanship”. For a leak or drip, Moen “will FREE OF CHARGE provide the parts necessary”. Claims need “Proof of purchase (original sales receipt)”. It excludes “use of cleaners containing abrasives, alcohol or other organic solvents”, and Moen “will not be responsible for labor charges”. It covers Moen authorized resellers only and is not transferable (Moen FAQ).

Cartridge, parts and touchless. Moen’s sheets for the Conneaut 87801 and the Arbor MotionSense Wave 7594EW both name the 1255 Duralast cartridge. Product pages list repair kits by part number, and Moen publishes an exploded parts view. For docking, the 7594EW sheet says Reflex “offers smooth operation, easy movement and secure docking” and does not say magnet. The sheet says the MotionSense Wave is “Powered by 6 AA batteries or optional AC adapter with power splitter”, and Moen’s MotionSense warranty puts the spout, electronics box and lenses on 5 years while the control box and finish stay lifetime. Moen’s installation sheet has a line to “Record Purchased Model Number”, and Moen’s site has an Identify My Product tool. Our Moen 1225 vs 1255 vs 1224 guide covers matching the cartridge.

  • Warranty text promises free parts for a leak or drip while the original buyer owns the home
  • 1255 Duralast cartridge named on both Moen sheets we read
  • Product pages list repair kits by part number
  • Original purchaser only, not transferable, and only while they own the home; Moen’s registration page offers “lifetime warranty activation”, but its warranty text does not require registration
  • Excludes cleaners with abrasives, alcohol or organic solvents, and labor
  • On MotionSense touchless models, the spout and lenses carry 5 years, not lifetime

Verdict: Read this brand by its paperwork: the cartridge is named and the repair kits are numbered. The catch is the receipt and the home-ownership limit.

For fit, height and docking details on these example models, see our pull-down faucet guide.

Registration replaces the receipt

Delta: Warranty, Registration and Parts

DIAMOND Seal valve · Warranty runs while the original buyer owns the home · 5 years on electronic parts · MagnaTite magnetic docking · Parts lookup by model number

Warranty. Delta’s faucet warranty says parts and finishes “purchased from authorized Delta sellers are warranted to the original consumer purchaser to be free from defects in material and workmanship for as long as the original consumer purchaser owns the home in which the faucet was first installed”, for faucets “manufactured after January 1, 2019”. Proof of purchase is required “unless the purchaser has registered the product with Delta Faucet Company”, the only receipt exemption among the six brands. Even so, Delta’s claim instructions ask you to “please include your model number, date of original purchase and documentation of the date of receipt of the product”. Delta may use “refurbished or recertified parts”, does not cover labor charges, and excludes damage from “freezing water” and “failure to follow the applicable care and cleaning instructions”. Electronic parts carry 5 years, “No warranty is provided on batteries”, and the warranty is not transferable.

Cartridge, parts and touchless. The 9159-DST spec sheet says the “Control mechanism shall be full-motion valve cartridge” and lists DIAMOND Seal Technology, which Delta claims lasts twice as long as the industry standard. The same sheet lists “MagnaTite® Magnetic Docking”. Delta’s Find Parts page takes a model number or a product identifier, and the installation sheet marks where the model number is located. For touchless, Delta’s 9159T-DST product page lists “Battery operated 6 AA (included)”, or 6 C cells, with an optional A/C adapter, EP102157. We could not open that model’s spec sheet, so those details are Delta’s product-page claims.

  • Warranty text drops the receipt requirement for a registered product
  • 5-year warranty on electronic parts, with batteries excluded
  • Magnetic docking listed on Delta’s own spec sheet
  • Covers faucets manufactured after January 1, 2019 only
  • Delta may repair with refurbished or recertified parts
  • Excludes freezing water and failure to follow care instructions

Verdict: Register the faucet the day you install it, and keep the receipt anyway.

Warranty mails the cartridge

Kohler: Warranty, Mailed Cartridge and Finish Limits

Ceramic disc valve · Warranty runs while the original buyer owns the home · Cartridge mailed free for leaks and drips · DockNetik docking · Electronic faucets carry 5 years

Warranty. Kohler’s current faucet warranty (updated 02/11/2026) says Kohler “warrants its faucets* manufactured after January 1, 1997, to be leak and drip free during normal residential usage for as long as the original consumer purchaser owns their home”. If the faucet leaks or drips, Kohler “will, free of charge, mail the cartridge necessary to put the faucet in working condition”. An original purchaser who owns but does not live in a rented or leased unit gets ten years. The warranty applies to products bought from Kohler or an authorized seller, and “Proof of purchase (original sales receipt)” is required. “Improper care and cleaning will void the warranty”, and the footnote lists “abrasive cleansers, ammonia, bleach, acids, waxes, alcohol, or solvents not recommended for KOHLER finishes”. Labor is not covered. A footnote puts “Non-Vibrant and painted or powder coated finishes” under Kohler’s one-year warranty. Our brass kitchen faucet guide shows how that footnote plays out on a gold Kohler finish.

Cartridge, parts and touchless. The Crue sheet lists ceramic disc valves, and its installation guide sends you to kohler.com/serviceparts. Kohler’s Simplice K-647 sheet says “DockNetik® magnetic docking system securely locks the sprayhead into place when not in use”, and Kohler’s magnetic-docking page lists the Crue 22972, though the Crue sheet says only “DockNetik secure docking system locks sprayhead into place”. Kohler’s Simplice K-22036 touchless sheet says AC-powered with “no batteries to replace” and requires an unswitched 120 V outlet. The sheet is dated 4-23-2020; the K-22036 was still listed on kohler.com on September 29, 2026. The Crue installation guide has a line to “Record your model number below”.

  • Warranty text says Kohler mails the cartridge free of charge for a leak or drip
  • DockNetik is described as magnetic on Kohler’s K-647 sheet and category page
  • Separate five-year warranty document for electronic faucets
  • Improper care and cleaning voids the warranty, with a list of cleaners
  • Some finishes fall under a one-year warranty
  • The K-22036 touchless sheet is dated 2020, needs a 120 V outlet, and still says lifetime warranty

Verdict: A good fit when a dripping cartridge is your worry. Keep the receipt and read the finish and cleaner limits before you buy a colored finish.

Not linked: Kohler Crue 22972-CP — on 10/3/2026 the Amazon listing was sold by a third-party seller, not by Amazon or the maker. We re-check listings every week.

30-day claim rule; AC adapter included on touchless

Pfister: Warranty, 30-Day Claim Rule and Parts

Pforever Seal ceramic disc valve · Warranty runs while the original buyer occupies the home · Claim within 30 days · MagnePfit magnetic docking · Stellen touchless includes an AC adapter

Warranty. Pfister’s warranty PDF (effective January 30, 2025) says the product “will be free of all defects in materials and workmanship that would impair the intended and proper use of the Product for the lifetime of the Product, and the “lifetime” of the Product shall be from the date of purchase for as long as the original purchaser occupies the residential premises in which the Product was originally installed”. Electrical components carry five years, and the finish has its own lifetime warranty. Pfister’s web page says the warranty covers finish and function “for as long as you own your home”, while the PDF says “occupies”. Go by the PDF: it says that where it differs from marketing or other product materials, “these warranties shall control”. Buyers must “contact Pfister within thirty (30) days from the date of discovery of the alleged defect(s)”, and “These warranties are not transferable”. A product “used in combination with assemblies, aerators, cartridges, handles, hoses, spouts, or any other component other than those manufactured by Pfister” is not covered, coverage is limited to Pfister and its authorized sellers, and labor is not covered.

Cartridge, parts and touchless. The Talega sheet names a “Pforever Seal™ Ceramic Disc Valve”. Pfister’s Replacement Parts page has a Cartridges category; for a warranty part it says to contact customer service before ordering, and for an out-of-warranty part it points you to Where to Buy. Pfister’s product page says the Talega’s MagnePfit “uses powerful magnetic docking to keep your spray head firmly secured”. The touchless Stellen LG529-ESA sheet lists AccuDock docking and “Includes AC Adapter”, with an optional battery pack, part 952-007. Claims ask for the model number; we did not find a Pfister document that says where it is printed.

  • Warranty PDF is dated and separates mechanical, electrical and finish coverage
  • MagnePfit is described as magnetic docking on Pfister’s own page
  • Stellen touchless sheet says an AC adapter is included
  • Claims must be made within 30 days of discovering the defect
  • A non-Pfister aerator, cartridge, handle, hose or spout in the assembly is not covered
  • Pfister’s web page and its PDF word the home term differently

Verdict: Read the 30-day claim rule and the non-Pfister-parts rule before you swap a hose or cartridge.

Parts store on its own site

American Standard: Warranty, Move-and-Void Rule and Parts

28 mm ceramic disc cartridge · Faucet warranty: limited lifetime from date of purchase · 5 years on electronics · Re-Trax docking · Parts store on maker site

Warranty. American Standard’s fittings warranty (February 2025) lists faucets as “Limited lifetime warranty from date of purchase” and electronic faucets, valves and controls as a “5-year limited warranty”, with “Batteries are not included in this warranty”, meaning batteries are not covered. The table does not define lifetime. The warranty “extends only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable unless purchased by a plumber, contractor or other service provider, in which case this warranty extends to the first property owner on whose behalf the product was purchased for installation”. It is void if the product “Has been moved from its initial place of installation” or “Was purchased from an unauthorized seller”. It does not cover “Labor or other costs of removal or installation” or damage from “lack of proper maintenance or cleaning as directed in the owner’s manual”.

Cartridge, parts and touchless. The Southport 7441300 spec sheet lists a “Washerless 28 mm ceramic disc valve cartridge”. American Standard’s Parts Store lists kitchen faucet cartridge kits and spray assemblies; we did not see the Southport named on the first page of that list, so confirm the part number first. The product page says “Re-Trax system ensures smooth extension, retraction and docking of the faucet spray head” and does not say magnet. The spec sheet has a “MODEL NUMBER” line. The site lists Avery and Beale touchless kitchen faucets; we did not open a touchless sheet, so we have no power source to report.

  • Warranty table lists limited lifetime for faucets
  • A contractor’s purchase extends the warranty to the first property owner
  • Parts Store on the maker’s site lists kitchen faucet parts
  • The table does not define lifetime
  • Warranty is void if the product is moved from where it was first installed
  • Labor, installation damage and maintenance or cleaning failures are not covered

Verdict: Read it before you buy for a remodel you may redo: the move-and-void clause and the contractor clause both matter there.

Repair parts diagram on the product page

Grohe: Warranty, Receipt-Plus-Dates Rule and Parts

Ceramic disc valve · Mechanical parts lifetime while the original buyer owns the home · 5 years on electronics · No docking system named

Warranty. Grohe’s faucet warranty (updated 05/13/2026) says “A Limited Lifetime Warranty is provided on all mechanical parts to be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for as long as the original purchaser owns their home”. The finish gets a lifetime warranty for the original purchaser, and electronic faucets, valves and controls get five years. It does not apply to products “Repaired by unqualified persons or not using original GROHE spare parts” or “Damaged by the effects of dirt, limescale or aggressive cleaners”, and it excludes installation and labor charges. A claim needs “Proof of purchase (copy of your original receipt, purchase order or invoice), the date the product was purchased and the installation date”. Grohe’s warranty page says to register “to activate your Limited Lifetime Warranty”, while the warranty document asks for the receipt.

Cartridge, parts and touchless. Grohe’s Concetto page says the faucet is “Equipped with quality ceramic disc valve” and lists a spec sheet, an installation guide and a repair parts diagram as resources; the site has a Shop Parts menu with kitchen parts. Neither the Concetto page nor its sheet names a docking system. The page prints a Model line (32665003 for the chrome version). Grohe’s Zedra Touch page (30205) says it turns on and off by touch and “Includes 6V lithium-battery Type CR-P2”. The Concetto pull-down listings that came up in our Amazon search were sold by third-party sellers, so this page has no Grohe buy link.

  • Mechanical parts and finish carry lifetime limited warranties for the original purchaser
  • Electronic faucets, valves and controls carry five years
  • Concetto page offers a repair parts diagram
  • A claim needs the receipt, purchase date and installation date
  • Excludes limescale, aggressive cleaners, and repairs without original Grohe spare parts
  • Registration wording differs between the warranty page and the warranty document

Verdict: Worth shortlisting if you want Grohe’s SilkMove handle and a published repair parts diagram. Keep the install date with the receipt; we found no Amazon-sold pull-down to link.

Touchless Faucets: What Powers Them

Each row is one model the maker documents, not the whole line. For electronics, plan on five years: Kohler’s K-22036 and Pfister’s Stellen sheets say lifetime, but both makers’ warranty documents give electronics five years. For six sensor faucets compared on how each is powered and how long its electronics are covered, see our touchless kitchen faucet picks.

How to Read a Lifetime Faucet Warranty

  1. Who is covered. All six say the original purchaser. Moen, Delta, Kohler and Grohe tie the term to owning the home, and Pfister’s PDF ties it to occupying the home. If you sell, the next owner has no coverage.
  2. What you clean it with. Kohler and Moen list the banned chemicals by name, Grohe lists aggressive cleaners and limescale, and Delta points to its care and cleaning instructions.
  3. Who you bought it from. Every maker limits coverage to authorized sellers. Ask the maker, using the phone number in its warranty, before you rely on a seller.
  4. What to keep in hand. Receipt, model number, purchase date and, for Grohe, the installation date. Plumber’s note, not from a maker document: write the model number on the receipt when you install the faucet, because the box is usually gone by the time a cartridge drips. Our cartridge replacement guide shows the job.

FAQ

What is the best kitchen faucet brand?

We do not rank brands, because we have no durability or failure data for any of them. What the documents show: Delta’s warranty lets a registered product skip the receipt, Kohler’s says it mails the cartridge for a leak or drip, Moen names its cartridge and numbers its repair kits, and Delta, Kohler and Pfister each describe their docking as magnetic. Pick the row that matches your worry, then check the exact model.

Does a lifetime faucet warranty cover labor?

No. Moen, Delta, Kohler, Pfister, American Standard and Grohe each say in their warranty documents that labor or installation costs are not covered. The warranty replaces the part. You pay for the work.

Do I have to register my faucet for the warranty?

It depends on the maker. Delta says proof of purchase is required unless the purchaser has registered the product. Moen and Grohe describe registering as activating the warranty, and Pfister’s Talega product page says to register to take advantage of its warranty, but all three warranty documents ask for proof of purchase and do not say registration is required. Kohler and American Standard ask for proof of purchase. Register anyway and keep the receipt and the installation date together.

Does buying from a third-party seller void the warranty?

It can. All six makers limit coverage to products bought from the maker or an authorized seller, and American Standard’s warranty is void for a product bought from an unauthorized seller. We did not find a maker document that lists authorized sellers. Kohler tells buyers to call 1-800-4-KOHLER to ask whether a seller is authorized, and Pfister gives 1-800-Pfaucet; ask the maker first.

How are touchless kitchen faucets powered?

It depends on the model. Kohler’s Simplice K-22036 sheet needs an unswitched 120 V outlet, Delta and Moen list batteries or an optional AC adapter, Pfister’s Stellen includes an AC adapter, and Grohe’s Zedra Touch uses a 6V lithium battery. Check the outlet under your sink before you choose one.

Bottom Line

Pick by the problem you want covered: Delta’s registered-product receipt rule, Kohler’s mailed cartridge, Moen’s named cartridge, or magnetic docking from Delta, Kohler or Pfister. Then read the exact model’s documents, and keep the receipt, model number and install date together.
