TRAPSNAKE is a separate M12 line and it is the one most people actually want when a toilet will not flush. The drum takes more than the included cable: Milwaukee’s drum capacity figures are 1/4 in. by 50 ft for lines up to 2 in., 5/16 in. by 50 ft for lines up to 2-1/2 in., and 3/8 in. by 35 ft for 2 in. to 3 in. lines. That 3/8 in. option is the whole reason to own this tool rather than the M12.

Read the top row again. A 2 in. kitchen branch, a lavatory arm, a tub waste and a laundry standpipe all sit inside the M12’s range. A 3 in. line does not — and a 3 in. line is where a homeowner’s problem usually turns into a plumber’s problem.
