Get in Touch
Have a question about a plumbing product? Dealing with a specific issue and not sure what to buy? I’m happy to help point you in the right direction.
Email: isaac@plumbingpicks.com
I answer email myself, usually within a few days. Please note that while I can suggest products and general guidance, I can’t diagnose or troubleshoot specific plumbing problems remotely — always consult a licensed plumber for repairs that involve cutting into walls or working on supply lines.
Two free tools here may answer your question faster than email: the toilet diagnostic and the drain snake selector. If you’re weighing whether a job is worth doing yourself, start with when to DIY vs. call a plumber.
What to write in about
Corrections get read first. If a guide names a part that has been discontinued, a manufacturer has changed a specification, or a link points at the wrong model, say so and include the address of the page — that kind of message improves the site for everyone who reads it next. Questions about a guide are welcome too: which of two parts fits your fixture, what a measurement in an article refers to, or which guide covers the problem in front of you. Suggestions for guides that do not exist yet are read as well, though not every one gets written.
What this site cannot help with
Plumbing Picks does not sell anything and does not handle orders. Anything to do with a purchase — where a package is, a return, a refund, a damaged item, a warranty claim, or a charge you do not recognise — has to go to the retailer, which in almost every case is Amazon. Their customer service can see your order; this site cannot. Remote diagnosis of one specific plumbing problem is also outside what email can do honestly, and anything involving gas, sewage, or a leak you cannot stop belongs with a licensed plumber in your own area, in person.
Who answers, and how long it takes
Email is answered by Isaac Daniels, a licensed Georgia journeyman plumber, who writes the guides on this site. Replies are written between jobs rather than by a support desk, which is why a few days is realistic and the same afternoon is not. Every message is read, and a correction that turns out to be right gets the page fixed.
