All three are Signature Hardware Bradenton two-piece toilets made for a 14 in. rough-in, new and in stock on Amazon on Oct 23, 2026. I’ve used these picks.

Is your rough-in really 14 inches?
Enter your measurement from the finished wall to the center of the closet bolts. The checker tells you which rough-in to buy.
Most homes built in recent decades have a 12 in. rough-in. A 14 in. drain is common in older houses, and it’s the reason a new 12 in. toilet can leave a 2 in. gap behind the tank. Our toilet rough-in size guide walks through measuring step by step.
PlumbingPicks spec score out of 10, from Signature Hardware pages and spec sheets read Oct 23, 2026. It is not a customer rating or our own test.
All three score the same because they share one bowl design, tank and flush system. They lose the same two checks: no seat in the box, and a visible trapway instead of a skirted one. Pick by bowl shape and height.
Best for most 14 in. bathrooms

Buy it if
Your rough-in measures 14 in. and you want the comfort of an elongated bowl at standard height.
Skip it if
Your bathroom is tight in front of the bowl. The round 462387 is shorter front to back.
The 462381 is the toilet I’d put in most bathrooms with a 14 in. drain, and I’ve used it. It scored 7.5.
Signature Hardware lists it as a two-piece elongated porcelain toilet in its 14 in. rough-in configuration, with a 16-3/8 in. bowl height and a 1.28 gpf gravity flush. The spec sheet adds a 3 in. flush valve and a 2 in. trapway, plus a 9 by 7 in. water spot on the elongated bowl.
It earns the water and listing checks cleanly. The maker’s sheet says WaterSense by IAPMO, ASME A112.19.2/CSA B45.1, CEC listed and Massachusetts accepted. That last one matters if you live in Massachusetts, which keeps its own approved list.
The warranty is the strongest part. Signature Hardware includes a 25-year limited warranty on this toilet. A 14 in. bowl is a model you don’t want to hunt for again, so long coverage counts.
It lost two checks. The seat isn’t in the box: the maker says seat included, no. The Amazon listing mentions a slow-closing seat, so read the listing on the day you order and plan on buying one. It also has a visible trapway, the bumpy side of the bowl, which takes more wiping than a smooth skirted base.
Signature Hardware says this toilet meets ADA requirements with a standard seat when installed to ADA guidelines. The bowl is 16-3/8 in.; a seat adds height, which is how it reaches the ADA range of 17 to 19 in. to the top of the seat.
One more limit: on the maker’s site, the right-hand lever option shows as unavailable in the 14 in. version. If your tank sits against a wall on the left, check the lever side before you order.
At 87.75 lb, it’s a two-person carry. Set the tank after the bowl is bolted down, not before.
Best for small rooms and powder rooms
Bradenton 462387 round
Signature Hardware Bradenton 462387 two-piece round toilet, 14 in. rough-in, 16-3/8 in. bowl height, left-hand lever

Buy it if
Your 14 in. bathroom is small, or the door or vanity crowds the front of the bowl.
Skip it if
There’s room for an elongated bowl. Most adults find the 462381 more comfortable.
The 462387 is the same Bradenton in a round bowl, and I’ve used it. It also scored 7.5.
Signature Hardware calls the round bowl space-saving, and that’s the reason to choose it. On a 14 in. rough-in the toilet already sits 2 in. farther from the wall than a 12 in. model, so the front of the bowl lands 2 in. closer to the door or tub. A round bowl gives some of that back.
Everything that matters for flushing and water use matches the elongated version. The spec sheet lists 1.28 gpf, gravity flush, a 3 in. flush valve and a 2 in. trapway. The round bowl has a smaller 8 by 6 in. water spot.
It passes the same listings: WaterSense by IAPMO, ASME A112.19.2/CSA B45.1, CEC listed and Massachusetts accepted. The warranty is the same 25-year limited coverage, per the maker’s page.
The two lost checks are the same too. The seat and cover are sold separately, and the trapway is visible on the side of the bowl. Round seats are a different size from elongated ones, so buy a round seat for this bowl.
Round bowls feel shorter to many adults. In a guest bath or powder room that’s rarely a problem. In a main bathroom used every day, I’d stretch for the elongated bowl if the room allows it.
Signature Hardware gives the same ADA statement as the elongated model: with a standard seat, installed to ADA guidelines, it meets ADA requirements. The bowl height is 16-3/8 in. before the seat.
At 85.55 lb it’s a little lighter than the elongated version, but still a two-person job. Have a new wax ring and closet bolts ready before you pull the old toilet.
Best for a 19 in. seat height
Bradenton SIG479090 19 in.
Signature Hardware Bradenton SIG479090 two-piece elongated toilet, 14 in. rough-in, 19 in. bowl height, left-hand lever

Buy it if
Someone in the house has trouble sitting down or standing up, and you want the tallest bowl on a 14 in. drain.
Skip it if
Kids or shorter adults use this bathroom most. A 19 in. bowl plus a seat sits high for them.
The SIG479090 is the tall Bradenton, and I’ve used it. It scored 7.5, the same as the others, because the score checks the same eight things.
On Signature Hardware’s site, SIG479090 is the 19 in. bowl-height Bradenton in its 14 in. rough-in, left-hand configuration. The maker lists it as ADA compliant, and its page repeats the same ADA statement as the shorter models.
The height is the reason to buy it. A 19 in. bowl puts the seat around 20 in. once you add one. That’s noticeably taller than standard, and it helps people with bad knees or hips. For shorter users, it can leave feet dangling.
The flush hardware matches the other two: the spec sheet lists a 3 in. flush valve, a 2 in. trapway and a gravity flush. The elongated bowl has a 9 by 7 in. water spot, the same as the 462381.
There’s one conflict to know about. The Amazon title says 1.2 gpf, while Signature Hardware’s page and spec sheet say 1.28 gpf. I scored the maker’s figure. Either way it passes the 1.28 gpf check.
This listing is sold by Build.com on Amazon, not by Amazon itself, on the day I checked. Build.com is a long-running plumbing retailer. Check the seller and delivery terms at checkout, because toilets ship freight and arrive heavy.
Like the other two, it ships without a seat and has a visible trapway. The warranty is Signature Hardware’s 25-year limited warranty, per the maker’s page.
On the maker’s own site, this 19 in. Bradenton also comes with a right-hand lever as a separate option. The Amazon listing linked here is the left-hand version, so if your tank sits beside a wall on the left, order the right-hand one from the maker instead.
It weighs 87.75 lb, per the maker, so plan on two people to set it.

Even a 14 in. toilet leaves a wide gap
A 12 in. toilet on a 14 in. drain works, but the tank sits 2 in. off the wall. It looks odd and can let the lid rock back. A 14 in. toilet closes that gap, and that’s why these models exist.
Measure from the finished wall surface. Baseboard and tile can steal a quarter inch, and on a borderline reading that quarter decides the size.

Signature Hardware says its high-efficiency toilets use 20% less water than standard ones, which matches the math from 1.6 to 1.28 gpf. In older houses with a 14 in. rough-in, the toilet being replaced is often a 1.6 gpf model or older, so the savings are real.
Installing a toilet on an old 14-inch drain
1
Shut off and drain
Close the stop, flush, and sponge out the last water from the tank and bowl.
2
Pull the old toilet
Remove the nuts, rock the bowl free and plug the drain with a rag.
3
Check the flange
Look for cracks, rust and height. A broken or low flange is the most common surprise in older homes.
4
Set new closet bolts
Use new brass bolts; old ones are often corroded.
5
Set the bowl
Use a new wax ring or a waxless seal and press the bowl straight down.
6
Mount the tank
Tighten the tank bolts evenly, a little at a time, so the porcelain doesn’t crack.
7
Connect and test
Attach a new supply line, open the stop and check for leaks at the base and tank.
Older 14 in. bathrooms often have cast iron drains and flanges. If yours is cracked or sits below the finished floor, fix that first. See toilet flange too low and offset toilet flanges.
Buy the seat to match the bowl: elongated seats for the 462381 and SIG479090, round for the 462387. Signature Hardware sells its own slow-close seats for the Bradenton line.

One-piece toilets look cleaner, and the Swiss Madison models include a soft-close seat. But a toilet with no published certification is a gamble on flush performance and local code approval. For a 14 in. drain, the Bradenton’s listings and warranty win. See one-piece vs two-piece toilets for the wider trade-off.
When to call a plumber
Straight swap on a sound flange
Most handy owners can do it with a helper, a wax ring and new bolts.
Cracked or rusted cast iron flange
Repair rings and flange replacement on cast iron are a step up in difficulty.
Measurement under 13-3/4 or over 15 in.
The drain may need to move, or an offset flange may help.
Soft floor around the toilet
Rotted subfloor needs repair before any new toilet goes down.
How to choose your 14-inch toilet
1
Confirm 14 in.
Measure twice from the finished wall to the bolt centers.
2
Pick the shape
Elongated if there’s room; round if the room is tight.
3
Pick the height

Questions people ask
What is the best 14-inch rough-in toilet?
On our spec score, the three Signature Hardware Bradenton 14 in. models tie at 7.5. The elongated 462381 fits most bathrooms.
Can I put a 12-inch toilet on a 14-inch rough-in?
Yes, it fits, but the tank sits about 2 in. off the wall. A 14 in. toilet looks and fits better.
How do I know if my rough-in is 14 inches?
Measure from the finished wall to the center of the closet bolts. 14 to 15 in. means a 14 in. toilet.
Are 14-inch rough-in toilets hard to find?
They’re less common than 12 in. models, so there are fewer choices. Stock changes; check the listing on the day you order.
Do these Bradenton toilets come with a seat?
No. Signature Hardware lists seat included as no for all three.
Is the Bradenton WaterSense certified?
Yes. The spec sheet lists WaterSense by IAPMO, plus ASME A112.19.2/CSA B45.1.
What warranty does the Bradenton have?
Signature Hardware includes a 25-year limited warranty, per its product pages.
Why does the Amazon listing say 1.2 gpf for the 19-inch model?
The listing title for SIG479090 says 1.2 gpf, but Signature Hardware’s page and spec sheet say 1.28 gpf. I went by the maker.
What if I measure 12 to 13-1/2 inches?
Buy a 12 in. rough-in toilet. A 14 in. model won’t fit, and 12 in. models are far more common.
Is a 19-inch toilet too tall?
For people with knee or hip trouble it helps. For children and shorter adults, a 16-3/8 in. bowl is easier.
