Pick the Brondell EcoSeat S101 if there is no outlet near your toilet; it needs no power and washes with supply-temperature water. Pick the Swash SE400 for heated water and a heated seat with a side-arm panel, or the Swash 1400 for a remote, 7 nozzle positions and a 3-year warranty. Measure your bowl against Brondell’s fit chart first.

Brondell is a San Francisco bidet maker. Its lineup runs from non-electric seats and attachments to heated electronic seats. The three seats here cover the main price and feature steps: no power at all, a side-arm electric seat, and a remote-controlled seat with more features and a longer warranty.
Check fit before you order
Brondell prints a fit check on each spec sheet. Measure from the center of the seat bolt holes to the front of the bowl: Brondell lists 18 to 19.5 inches for elongated seats and 16 to 17.75 inches for round.
Measure the space behind the bolt holes too. The S101 sheet (store-mpfo2gcqca.mybigcommerce.com) says the distance from the bolt-hole centers to the tank must be at least 1.5 inches, or the seat may stick out slightly past the front of the bowl. The SE400 (store-mpfo2gcqca.mybigcommerce.com) and S1400 (store-mpfo2gcqca.mybigcommerce.com) sheets print both a 1.5-inch and a 2-inch figure for the same check, so plan on 2 inches to be safe with those seats.
Bolt-hole spacing differs by model: Brondell lists 5.5 to 8 inches for the S101, 5.5 inches for the SE400 and 5.25 to 8 inches for the S1400. Our toilet seat size guide and round vs elongated guide show how to measure.
Brondell EcoSeat S101: no outlet needed
Choose the Brondell EcoSeat S101 if there is no outlet near the toilet or you want the simplest seat. The S101 spec sheet (store-mpfo2gcqca.mybigcommerce.com) lists dual self-cleaning retractable nozzles, separate front and rear washes, fully adjustable water pressure with an easy-turn knob, a quick-release button for cleaning, a gentle-close seat and lid, and no batteries or electricity required.
It washes with water at the incoming temperature: the sheet lists an incoming range of 35 to 100°F, so in winter the wash will feel as cold as your supply water. The elongated seat measures 20.03 × 14.39 × 2.55 inches and weighs 4.6 pounds, with a 330-pound seat limit and a 3/8-inch hose connection.
The Amazon listing calls it the Ecoseat 101, and its listed elongated dimensions match the S101-EW sheet exactly. On October 15, 2026, the standard new offer was sold by Healthy Homestore, which Amazon’s seller page lists as Brondell Inc., and showed stock.

Brondell Swash SE400: warm water with a side-arm panel
Choose the Brondell Swash SE400 for heated water and a heated seat without a remote. The SE400 spec sheet (store-mpfo2gcqca.mybigcommerce.com) lists a 5-position stainless steel nozzle, oscillation and massage wash modes, adjustable water pressure and temperature, a four-level heated seat, a five-level warm-air dryer, a gentle-close seat and lid, an LED nightlight that can be turned off, a side-arm control panel and a self-cleaning retractable nozzle.
Brondell lists water temperature settings of off, 93.2, 98.6 and 104°F, five pressure levels, a 600 W maximum heater, and 660 W maximum consumption overall. The power cord is 48 inches, and the seat limit is 275 pounds, lower than the other two seats here.
On October 15, 2026, the standard new offer was sold by Healthy Homestore (Brondell Inc.) and showed stock with model SE400-EW.

Brondell Swash 1400: remote, more nozzle positions, longer warranty
Choose the Brondell Swash 1400 for the most features in this group. The S1400 spec sheet (store-mpfo2gcqca.mybigcommerce.com) lists adjustable 7-position stainless steel nozzles, nozzle oscillation and auto wash modes, adjustable pressure and temperature, a ceramic water heater, a replaceable carbon deodorizer, a gentle-close seat and lid, an LED nightlight, a wireless remote with a wall mount, on-demand self-cleaning nozzles with NozzleClean+, an aerated wash spray, programmable user settings, a wide spray option and a quick-release seat.
It carries a 3-year limited warranty, against 1 year for the other two. Its maximum power is 1200 W, the power cord is 42 inches, and the remote runs on four CR2032 batteries. Brondell lists a 6-month life for the carbon deodorizer filter, so budget for replacements.
One caution: the sheet’s feature list says a 3-level dryer while its table says 4 dryer settings. We do not rely on either number.
On October 15, 2026, the standard new offer was sold by Healthy Homestore (Brondell Inc.) and showed stock with model S1400-EW.

Water pressure and supply connection
Each spec sheet lists a T-valve connection, the fitting that joins the bidet hose to the toilet’s cold-water supply. Brondell lists a 3/8-inch bidet hose connection for the S101 and a 1/2-inch connection for the SE400 and S1400, so check what your T-valve and supply line use.
Brondell’s supply-pressure ranges differ: 0.14 to 0.6 MPa (about 20 to 87 psi) for the S101, 14.2 to 106.6 psi for the SE400, and 14.5 to 100 psi for the S1400. If your home’s pressure is unusually high, our pressure-reducing valve guide covers the valve that controls it.
Shut off the toilet stop before you start, and replace a stiff or leaking stop first; our shutoff valve guide covers options.
Power and outlet planning
The SE400 and S1400 run on 120 V. Their cords are short: 48 inches for the SE400 and 42 inches for the S1400. Check that an outlet sits within reach of the toilet before you order. If there is none, adding one is a job for an electrician; until then, the non-electric S101 is the option here.
Follow Brondell’s manual for your exact model on cord and hose routing.
Brondell vs TOTO and other brands
If you are comparing makers rather than Brondell models, our bidet seat guide covers several brands, and our TOTO Washlet guide compares TOTO’s current electronic seats. If you would rather keep your existing seat, our bidet attachment guide covers attachments that mount under it.
The main differences to compare are warranty length, whether water is heated, how the seat is controlled, and the maker’s fit range for your bowl.
