| Model | Mount | Sprays | Flow | Hose |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Delta 75701C | Shower arm | 7 incl. pause | 1.75 gpm | 60 in. metal |

| Delta 51913-PR | Slide bar | 4 incl. pause | 1.75 gpm | 60 to 82 in. stretch |
Delta’s hand showers come in two main mounting styles. Shower-arm models screw onto the existing arm and hold the wand in a bracket, so you can switch between fixed and handheld use. Slide-bar models mount a bar on the wall so you can set the wand height. For other brands, see our handheld shower head guide and Moen handheld guide; for Delta fixed heads, our Delta shower head guide.
Delta 75701C: shower-arm mount, 1.75 gpm
Choose the 75701C for a simple Delta hand shower that mounts on your existing arm. Delta’s spec sheet (media.deltafaucet.com) (Rev. C) lists seven settings changed with an easy-turn lever: full body, fast massage, full spray with massage, drenching, soft drench with full spray, soft rain and pause. Delta notes the pause is a non-positive shut-off.
It lists a 1.75 gpm flow at 80 psi, a standard 1/2-14 NPT fitting, a shower arm mount for hands-free use, a 60-inch metal hose, Touch-Clean spray holes and EPA WaterSense. On October 15, 2026, the standard new offer sold by Amazon.com was in stock with model 75701C, chrome.

Delta 75700: same design at 2.5 gpm
Choose the 75700 only where a 2.5 gpm hand shower is allowed. Delta’s spec sheet (media.deltafaucet.com) (Rev. E) lists the same seven settings, lever, arm mount and 60-inch metal hose as the 75701C, but a 2.5 gpm maximum flow at 80 psi. The sheet does not list WaterSense.
Both models list Touch-Clean spray holes and a lifetime limited warranty on parts and finish for residential buyers. On October 15, 2026, the standard new offer sold by Amazon.com was in stock with model 75700, chrome. If your area limits flow, choose the 75701C.

It lists EPA WaterSense and a slide bar about 24-5/8 inches long in the drawing. Delta states the slide bar is not to be used as a grab bar. On October 15, 2026, the standard new offer sold by Amazon.com showed limited stock with model 51549-BL, matte black.

Delta 51913-PR: slide bar, FeatherRain
Choose the 51913 for a simpler four-setting slide bar shower. Delta’s spec sheet (media.deltafaucet.com) (Rev. A) lists four settings changed with a push button: full body, massage, FeatherRain and pause, a 1.75 gpm flow at 80 psi, a 60- to 82-inch stretchable metal hose and a 27-11/16-inch slide bar with an adjustable slide.
It lists a 4-1/2-inch wand face, a 1/2-14 NPSM connection that accepts 1/2-14 NPT, and EPA WaterSense, and says the slide bar is not to be used as a grab bar. The PR suffix denotes Delta’s Lumicoat finish; Delta notes Lumicoat is not applied to the slide bar or hose. Arm mount or slide bar?
An arm-mount hand shower like the 75701C replaces your fixed head with a bracket and hose, so it installs in minutes on the existing arm. A slide bar like the 51549 or 51913 needs wall mounting for the bar and a water supply connection, but lets each person set the wand height. Delta lists a 60-inch hose on the arm-mount models and a stretchable 60- to 82-inch hose on the slide-bar models. Neither slide bar is rated as a grab bar.
Flow rate and WaterSense
Three of the four are rated at 1.75 gpm and WaterSense listed. The 75700 is the 2.5 gpm version of the 75701C. Delta’s model letters matter: the C on 75701C marks the 1.75 gpm version. If you want even lower flow, see our low-flow shower head guide.
Spray controls compared
The four models switch sprays in three ways. The 75700 and 75701C use an easy-turn lever on the wand to move through seven settings, including drenching and soft rain. The 51549 uses three buttons that combine to create nine settings, which Delta describes as simple one-handed operation. The 51913 uses a single push button to step through four settings, including Delta’s FeatherRain spray. All four include a pause setting that slows the water to a trickle, which Delta notes is not a full shut-off.
Finishes and warranty
Delta lists finish options on each product page; the linked offers are chrome for the 75700, 75701C and 51913-PR and matte black for the 51549-BL. The PR suffix marks Delta’s Lumicoat finish, which Delta says wipes clean easily on commonly touched areas, though not on the 51913 slide bar or hose. The 75700 sheet lists a lifetime limited warranty on parts and finish for residential buyers; check the warranty page for the other models. Check the finish suffix on any matching trim before ordering so the pieces match.
Installing a Delta hand shower
For the arm-mount models, remove the old head, wrap the arm threads with thread seal tape and thread on the bracket; see our thread seal tape guide. For a slide bar, follow Delta’s instructions for the wall mounting and connection. If your arm sits low, a shower arm extender can raise the bracket.
