Choose the Ruvati RVH7490 for a reversible offset drain and rounded corners, or the RVH8300 for a single-tier workstation ledge. Both checked stainless-steel models are nominally 32 × 19 inches and require a 36-inch minimum cabinet. Match the layout and actual sink to the countertop plan.

Start with the drain position or the accessory ledge
| Model | Main layout choice | Inside corners | Included bowl grid |
|---|---|---|---|
| RVH7490 Tribeca | Reversible offset drain; sloped bowl | Rounded | RVA67490 |
| RVH8300 Roma | Rear-center drain; single accessory ledge | Sharp | RVA68300 |
The RVH7490 sheet (ruvati.com) and RVH8300 sheet (ruvati.com) list the same outside footprint, minimum cabinet and material: 16-gauge T304 stainless steel with 18/10 chromium/nickel content and a commercial brushed finish. Neither is a drop-in model.
The useful difference is how the bowl works for you. The Tribeca places the drain to one side and lets you choose the drain orientation. The Roma adds a single-tier ledge for fitted accessories, including a board, colander and folding rack. An accessory-rich box does not automatically make it the better sink for someone who wants an open bowl.
RVH7490: choose a reversible offset drain
Choose the Ruvati RVH7490 when a left- or right-side drain and rounded inside corners matter more than a fitted workstation track. The maker page (ruvati.com) explicitly identifies it as reversible, and its model sheet shows a 30 × 17-inch nominal inside bowl.
Before choosing an orientation, compare the drain position with the existing waste connection and the intended disposal or drain assembly. Moving a drain to one side changes where those parts sit below the sink. Whether that helps your storage depends on the actual cabinet and piping arrangement, not just the sink photograph.
The sheet lists a rinse grid, basket strainer, decorative drain cover, mounting clips and cutout template. Its matched grid is RVA67490. The offset opening matters when replacing that grid: another 32-inch sink’s grid can put the drain cutout in the wrong place.
Skip it if you specifically want an integrated ledge for a fitted cutting board and colander, if you need a top-mount rim, or if your cabinet is below the 36-inch minimum. This is not the workstation option in this comparison.
The new stainless-steel offer checked on October 15, 2026 was sold by RUVATI through Amazon, showed stock and had an add-to-cart button. Its model and manufacturer part-number fields both read RVH7490. The maker’s exact model page links the same ASIN.

RVH8300: choose a single-tier workstation ledge
Choose the Ruvati RVH8300 when you will use fitted accessories over the bowl. The current Roma model page (ruvati.com) describes ledges at the front and back that form the accessory track. Its sheet identifies sharp inside corners and a rear-center drain.
The model sheet lists the RVA1317 colander, RVA1217 cutting board, RVA1395 folding rack and RVA68300 rinse grid. It also lists the basket strainer, drain cover, mounting clips and template. These are specific included pieces; the maker’s larger optional-accessory range is not all included in this box.
Think through one actual task before paying for that arrangement. Where will the cutting board sit while a large pan occupies the bowl? Where will you put the colander when washing that pan? A movable accessory uses some of the bowl opening while it is in place, even though you can remove it when you need the opening clear.
Skip it if your priority is rounded inside corners or a reversible side drain. Also skip it if the countertop plan cannot preserve access to the workstation ledge. The same nominal outside size does not give it the Tribeca’s drain layout.

Read the bowl dimensions and profile together
The RVH7490 sheet (ruvati.com) labels its nominal bowl depth as 10 inches. Its section drawing separately labels 9-7/8 inches at one end and 9-1/4 inches at the other. Those are labels on the drawn product profile, not two verified usable interior depths. Do not turn the nominal 10-inch label into a promise of uniform measured depth or calculate a guaranteed drainage slope from those labels.
The RVH8300 PDF (ruvati.com) lists a 30-3/8 × 16-inch nominal inside bowl and 10-inch depth. The current product page instead calls the inside width 30-1/2 inches. That 1/8-inch difference is present in the maker’s own records; this guide does not resolve it into a precision fit claim. Do not choose this model for a fractional clearance advantage that has not been confirmed on the actual sink.
For a pan that is close to either published limit, check the actual sink rather than relying on that fractional difference. Handles, rounded or sharp corners, the drain cover and a grid can all affect how an item sits. A maximum nominal opening is not a promise of the same unobstructed flat area at the bowl floor.
Both model sheets call the 32 × 19-inch exterior dimensions nominal. Those numbers describe the sink, not the countertop opening. The standard undermount guide (ruvati.com) and workstation guide (ruvati.com) say the template is a guide and should be checked against the actual sink. Have the installer confirm the delivered model and its intended reveal before the countertop plan is finalized.
Keep the workstation ledge accessible
Ruvati’s RVH8300 installation guide (ruvati.com) permits a 1/4-inch reveal or flush fit and specifically says not to install with a countertop overhang. That restriction belongs in the purchase decision: a countertop plan that hides the ledge can interfere with the reason you chose a workstation.
Show the selected model, its guide and the actual accessories to the installer before agreeing on the finished opening. A neighboring sink’s template or a generic 32-inch cutout does not establish the correct ledge exposure. This guide does not provide cutting, drilling or mounting instructions.
The RVH7490 uses the separate standard undermount guide. Do not transfer every detail from the workstation guide to a different sink solely because both are 32 inches wide. Keep the product, its template and its model-specific instructions together.
Both choices require a 36-inch minimum cabinet. That is the starting cabinet requirement, not a full clearance drawing for your disposal, drain piping, faucet hoses or stored items. Plan those parts separately below and behind the actual sink. A bowl-depth label does not include the added drain assembly or disposal beneath it.
Separate the basket strainer from disposal parts
Both sheets list the RVA1025 basket strainer and RVA1035 decorative drain cover. The current maker pages state that the included drain is for standard plumbing and that a garbage-disposal flange is not included. A basket strainer in the box does not mean the box contains the flange needed by your disposal.
If you intend to use a disposal, check its own mounting and flange requirements with the sink and the parts supplied by that disposal. Do not order a second drain assembly just because it looks similar to the included strainer, and do not treat the decorative cover as the mounting flange.
Keep the bottom grid model-specific too. The RVH7490 sheet names RVA67490; the RVH8300 names RVA68300. The exterior sink dimensions happen to match, but the bowl dimensions and drain positions differ. Our sink grid guide explains why model identification matters before buying a replacement.
Compare the cleaning routine before the accessory count
Both model guides recommend regular cleaning with normal detergent and warm water, drying with a soft cloth, and cleaning in the direction of the steel’s grain. They say not to let soap or household cleaners dry on the surface and not to use bleach solutions or steel-wool pads.
The guides also acknowledge that minor scratching is difficult to avoid. Choose the brushed finish with that care routine in mind. We have not tested scratch resistance, staining, drainage speed or sound levels, and this comparison does not promise a permanently unmarked or rust-proof surface.
Consider how you will reach the bowl corners and the areas around removable pieces. The Tribeca has documented rounded inside corners; the Roma has documented sharp inside corners plus a ledge. Those are geometry differences to assess against your own cleaning preferences, not a measured claim that one is faster to clean.
For the RVH8300, decide whether the board, colander and rack have a regular role in your kitchen and a storage place when removed. The steel sink’s care instructions do not establish the wood board’s care requirements; check the accessory instructions separately. If they would spend most of their time elsewhere, the RVH7490’s simpler open-bowl arrangement may fit your routine better. For different materials and mounting styles, compare our broader kitchen sink guide.
Frequently asked questions
Do both sinks need a 36-inch cabinet?
Yes. Both exact model sheets list a 36-inch minimum cabinet and a nominal 32 × 19-inch exterior. The exterior size is not a countertop cutout instruction.
Can the RVH7490 drain be placed on either side?
Ruvati describes the RVH7490 offset drain as reversible for left- or right-side orientation. Confirm the planned drain and piping position in the actual cabinet.
Does the RVH7490 have the same workstation track as the RVH8300?
No. The RVH8300 has the documented single-tier accessory ledge. The RVH7490 is the reversible offset-drain choice and is not a workstation model.
Are all Ruvati accessories included with the RVH8300?
No. Its sheet lists a specific colander, cutting board, folding rack, rinse grid, basket strainer, drain cover, clips and template. Other optional accessories need separate checks.
Is a disposal flange included with these sinks?
The current maker pages say the included drain is for standard plumbing and a garbage-disposal flange is not included. Check the requirements and supplied parts of the selected disposal.
How we chose
We read the current RVH7490 and RVH8300 maker pages in a browser, downloaded their linked two-page specification sheets and applicable undermount guides, and visually inspected both model drawings. We checked the exact Amazon ASIN linked by each maker page against the new offer, stainless-steel selection, model, manufacturer part number, seller, stock and cart on October 15, 2026.
We excluded RVH7400 because its listing color conflicted with the brushed-steel model. This is a document-based layout comparison, not a tested brand ranking. We disclose the RVH8300 page/PDF inside-width difference and distinguish the RVH7490 nominal depth from its sloped section profile. Read our selection method and about Plumbing Picks.
