Choose Sterling Southhaven 11402-4-NA for a top-mount double bowl with four faucet holes, or McAllister 11600-NA for a single undermount bowl with no faucet holes. Match the mounting plan and actual opening before comparing bowl space. The technical tables list a 36-inch base cabinet for both.

Compare the mount and usable bowl space
On a phone, swipe or scroll the table sideways to see every column.
| Exact checked sink | Mount / bowl layout | Outside size | Listed bowl area and depth |
|---|---|---|---|
| 11402-4-NA Southhaven | Top-mount / double equal | 33 × 22 | Each 14 × 15-1/8; 8 deep |
| 11600-NA McAllister | Undermount / single | 31-13/16 × 18-1/2 | 29-1/2 × 15-3/4; 9 bowl depth |
The Southhaven specification (resources.kohler.com) and McAllister specification (techcomm.kohler.com) supply these dimensions. Both technical tables list a 36-inch minimum base cabinet. McAllister’s separate notes discuss a conditional narrower installation; that is not a general fit promise for this comparison.
Southhaven has four faucet holes on its rear deck. McAllister has no faucet holes and requires a wall- or counter-mounted faucet. Choose the mounting arrangement before comparing the size of the washing space.
Southhaven 11402-4-NA: top-mount with two equal bowls
Choose the Sterling Southhaven 11402-4-NA if your plan calls for a top-mount sink, two separate bowls and four deck holes. Its current model page (sterling.kohler.com) identifies the exact stainless steel variant and lists an 8-inch depth with 20-gauge stainless steel construction.
The 33 by 22-inch outside footprint includes the rim and rear faucet deck. Each bowl’s listed area is 14 by 15-1/8 inches, with an 8-inch bowl depth. Check those individual spaces against the cookware you want to place flat in the sink rather than treating 33 inches as one open washing area.
The rear deck’s three main faucet positions and extra accessory position are visible in the drawing. Match the whole faucet and accessory layout to those holes. A four-hole sink does not establish that every faucet or soap dispenser will fit its mounting diameters and spacing.
Skip it if you need an uninterrupted single bowl, an undermount edge, or a faucet location that conflicts with the predrilled deck. It is also not an automatic replacement for every existing sink described as 33 by 22 inches.
The standard new Amazon offer checked on October 15, 2026 was sold by Buildcom, showed stock and had an add-to-cart button. The model and manufacturer part number both matched 11402-4-NA, with the stainless steel finish selected.

McAllister 11600-NA: one bowl below the counter
Choose the Sterling McAllister 11600-NA when you want a single undermount bowl and the counter, cabinet and faucet plan suit that installation. The current maker page (sterling.kohler.com) specifies no faucet holes, 18-gauge stainless steel and a luster finish.
The 29-1/2-inch size in the product name refers to its listed bowl length. The current drawing (techcomm.kohler.com) marks the outer rim at 31-13/16 by 18-1/2 inches. Keep that difference clear when comparing the sink with a cabinet, an existing opening or another product title. The maker page’s long URL contains different dimension wording; use the current September 2026 drawing linked here rather than treating the URL wording as a dimension source.
The technical table lists a 9-inch bowl depth. The separate side drawing and feature list show a 9-5/16-inch dimension. Use the labeled dimensions for their intended checks rather than describing the bowl as having a guaranteed 9-5/16 inches of usable internal depth.
Skip it if you need a top-mount rim to sit over the counter, want separate washing and rinsing bowls, or require faucet holes in the sink itself. An existing opening for a top-mount sink does not prove this undermount model can use the same opening.
The checked new 11600-NA offer was sold by Triton Stone Group, LLC, showed stock and an add-to-cart button. Its model and part number both matched 11600-NA, with Stainless Steel selected. A separate search result with an F-prefixed, bulk-quantity model was excluded from this comparison.

Choose the bowl layout around your cookware
Measure a baking sheet, roasting pan or other large item you regularly wash. Compare its base with Southhaven’s individual bowl dimensions and McAllister’s single-bowl area. Do not use the combined outside width of a double sink as though its divider were absent.
The double-bowl layout gives you two separate basins. The single-bowl layout gives you one longer listed space. Those physical arrangements are the reason for the choice here; this guide does not claim one will cut cleaning time or use less water in your household.
Think about where a rack, strainer and large item will sit during washing. A useful fit check includes the shape of the bowl and the drain area, not just whether the longest dimension looks sufficient. Leave room for your hands when deciding whether an item can be handled comfortably.
Neither recommendation is presented as a workstation kit with a chopping-board ledge and a full set of sliding accessories. If those functions matter, compare a purpose-designed configuration in our broader kitchen sink guide before buying an unrelated board or rack around these sinks.
Keep the outside size and opening separate
Southhaven’s sheet lists a nominal top-mount cutout of 32-1/2 by 21-1/2 inches with 1/2-inch corner radii. That is a cutout specification, not the sink’s 33 by 22-inch outside size and not a set of measurements to apply to a different model.
Have the actual sink and current instructions checked against the existing counter before committing to the replacement. The maker says to measure the actual product for roughing-in details. This guide does not supply a countertop cutting procedure or authorize changes to an opening.
McAllister’s sheet identifies template 1315844-7 as required and included. It shows reveal and no-reveal arrangements and says to use the supplied template to select a hidden or exposed rim. The outer rim drawing is not a substitute for that template. Do not transfer Southhaven’s numeric top-mount cutout to McAllister simply because both technical tables list the same cabinet width.
The technical tables list a 36-inch base cabinet for both picks. McAllister’s conditional note calls for installer confirmation for a narrower cabinet. Resolve any such exception with the maker and installer rather than assuming the sink will fit because its outside width is smaller than a nominal cabinet number.
Plan the faucet holes and drain parts
Southhaven’s specification lists four deck holes, 1-7/16-inch faucet-hole diameter and 4-inch faucet-hole spacing. Its drawing shows the actual main faucet cluster and the separate accessory position. Use that layout when checking a faucet base, side sprayer or dispenser. The 4-inch spacing entry describes the main faucet cluster; it does not mean every neighboring pair of all four deck holes is 4 inches apart.
McAllister leaves faucet placement to the wall or counter because it has no faucet holes. Check the faucet’s own mounting requirements, reach and operating clearance with the sink location. The sink’s single-bowl length cannot establish whether a particular faucet will land where you want it.
Both specifications list a 3-5/8-inch drain opening and recommend the 7400 stainless steel drain and strainer separately. A drain-opening diameter is not the same thing as the waste outlet size or proof of compatibility with every disposal flange.
Confirm the selected drain package and the available space underneath with your installer. Bowl depth is only part of that planning. This guide does not turn the sink drawing into a guaranteed finished waste-connection height or prescribe a disposal installation.
Separate included hardware from optional racks
The Southhaven sheet lists installation clips 1150001 under included components. The McAllister sheet lists hardware kit 91915. Verify the actual package and use the instructions for the delivered model; the two mounting systems should not be treated as sharing one universal clip set.
Southhaven’s recommended accessories include rack 11861. McAllister’s list includes rack 20078. Those are model-specific catalogue recommendations, not a statement that the rack is included with the checked sink offer.
Use our sink grid guide for the basic selection questions, then match any purchase to the exact bowl and drain arrangement. A rack intended for one basin size should not be assumed to work in the other sink because both are Sterling stainless steel.
The sheets list SilentShield sound pads, but we did not measure noise or vibration. Likewise, the 20-gauge and 18-gauge material specifications are documented construction differences. We do not convert them into a tested dent-resistance, stiffness or service-life ranking.
Frequently asked questions
Is McAllister 11600-NA only 29-1/2 inches wide overall?
No. Its listed bowl length is 29-1/2 inches. The current maker drawing marks an outer footprint of 31-13/16 by 18-1/2 inches.
Which pick has faucet holes in the sink?
Southhaven 11402-4-NA has four deck holes. McAllister 11600-NA has none and requires a wall- or counter-mounted faucet.
Is McAllister’s usable bowl depth 9-5/16 inches?
The technical table lists 9 inches of bowl depth. The 9-5/16-inch label appears separately in the feature list and side drawing; do not substitute it for the labeled internal bowl depth.
Are the drain strainers and sink racks included?
The sheets list those as recommended accessories, separately from included mounting hardware. Verify the exact offer contents before ordering additional parts.
Can I use the outside sink dimensions as my cutout?
No. Use the exact model’s current cutout information, supplied template where required, actual sink and installation instructions. Overall rim dimensions are a different measurement.
How we chose
We read the current Sterling product records and downloaded both primary specification sheets. All four PDF pages were rendered and visually inspected, including the bowl tables, faucet layout, cutout notes and mounting details. The McAllister sheet served by the maker was dated September 12, 2026; Southhaven’s was March 24, 2024. New Amazon offers were checked on October 15, 2026 for full model and part number, finish, seller, stock and cart availability. We did not test sound absorption, drainage, strength or finish life. No countertop, cabinet or support modification procedure is supplied. Read our selection method and about Plumbing Picks.
