Best Bridge Kitchen Faucet

For a traditional bridge with a pulldown, the Moen Weymouth S73204SRS is a strong pick; the Delta Renaldi 2384L-PR-DST is the modern alternative, and the Kohler Artifacts K-76519-4-CP suits anyone who prefers a separate side sprayer. Check that your sink has three holes, or four for a side spray, before you buy.

A bridge faucet has two handles on the deck joined to the spout by a horizontal bridge, so hot and cold have their own handles. It is a traditional farmhouse look, and it needs a sink or counter with the right holes.

Do you have the right holes?

Bridge faucets mount through more than one hole. Moen lists three holes for the Weymouth, Delta lists a three-hole configuration for the Renaldi, and Kohler lists three or four holes for the Artifacts with its side sprayer. Count your holes and measure their spacing against each maker’s drawing before buying.

A single-hole sink cannot take a bridge faucet without drilling. If you are replacing a single-hole faucet, our kitchen faucet hole guide explains your options, and our pull-down faucet guide covers single-hole picks.

Bridge vs single-handle faucets

A bridge faucet gives you separate hot and cold handles, which some cooks prefer for setting temperature, and suits traditional and farmhouse kitchens. A single-handle faucet is quicker to adjust with one hand and needs only one hole. Our pull-down vs pull-out guide covers sprayer styles that apply to both.

Bridge faucets span several holes, so check the space behind the sink for the deck plate and handles, especially with a farmhouse or apron sink against a backsplash. Our farmhouse sink guide covers sinks they are often paired with.

Handles and sprayer reach

Moen includes both lever handles and alternate cross handles with the Weymouth, so you can choose the look; Delta and Kohler use levers on the models here. Levers are easier to work with wet or full hands, and Moen and Kohler list ADA compliance for their lever handles.

Sprayer reach differs a lot. Moen lists a 68-inch braided hose on the Weymouth wand, while Delta describes a 20-inch retractable reach for the Renaldi. A side sprayer like Kohler’s sits in its own hole and reaches as far as its hose allows. If you rinse a large farmhouse sink or fill pots on the counter, compare these numbers.

Adding filtered water

A bridge faucet does not filter water. If you want filtered drinking water, add a separate filter faucet or an under-sink system; Kohler even lists its own filtration systems as recommended accessories for the Artifacts. Our filtered water faucet guide covers options, and a spare sink hole for a filter faucet is one more reason to count holes before you buy.

If your sink has four holes and you choose a three-hole bridge, the fourth hole can hold a filter faucet, a soap dispenser or a snap-in cover.

Installation notes

Bridge faucets have more connections under the sink than a single-handle faucet: two supply valves feed the bridge, and a pulldown hose or side spray hose runs through the base. Work from below with a basin wrench and good light; our basin wrench guide covers the tool, and our faucet installation guide walks through the steps.

Moen and Kohler list 3/8-inch compression connections, and Delta includes integrated PEX supply lines, so check your shutoff valves match before you start. Our supply stop guide helps if the stops need replacing.

Finish care

Each maker has its own finish technology. Moen’s SRS is Spot Resist Stainless, Delta’s Lumicoat is described as easy to wipe clean, and Kohler says its finishes resist corrosion and tarnishing. Clean with water and a soft cloth and follow the maker’s care sheet; avoid abrasive cleaners on any finish.

All three models come in several finishes; Moen sells the Weymouth in chrome, Spot Resist Stainless, matte black, oil-rubbed bronze and brushed gold, among others. The part number suffix changes with the finish, so check that the suffix on the listing matches the finish you want before ordering, and buy the soap dispenser or side spray in the same finish.

Frequently asked questions

What is a bridge kitchen faucet?

A two-handle faucet where the handles sit on the deck and connect to the spout with a horizontal bridge.

How many holes does a bridge faucet need?

Usually three. Moen and Delta list three holes for the Weymouth and Renaldi; Kohler lists three or four for the Artifacts with its side sprayer.

Yes. The Moen Weymouth S73204 and Delta Renaldi 2384L both have pull-down sprayers.

What is the flow rate of these bridge faucets?

Moen lists 1.5 gpm for the Weymouth, and Kohler lists 1.5 gpm for the Artifacts faucet and 1.8 gpm for its side sprayer.

Are bridge faucets hard to install?
