A Pfister shower faucet has two parts. The valve body sits inside the wall and is plumbed to the hot and cold lines. The trim is what you see: the handle, the round plate, and on some kits the shower head and tub spout. Every trim on this page is trim only. Both Pfister sheets say each one requires a Pfister 0X8 or JX8 valve, ordered separately.

Pfister Weller LG89-8WRK: full tub and shower trim

Choose the Weller LG89-8WRK to replace everything you see on a tub and shower with a Pfister valve. Pfister’s Weller spec sheet (pfisterstorage.blob.core.windows.net) lists a QuickTrim trim kit, a five-function shower head (massage, rain, invigorating, champagne and a champagne and rain combo) at 1.75 gpm, a Quick Connect tub spout and a removable Quick Connect adapter for 1/2-inch IP connections. The sheet also lists an optional extension kit, 910-563, sold separately.

The drawing shows a 6-7/8-inch round plate, a handle that sticks out 4-1/4 inches, a 4-25/32-inch shower head face and a tub spout 6-1/2 inches long. Listed finishes are matte black, polished chrome, brushed nickel and Tuscan bronze.

On October 15, 2026, the standard new offer sold by Amazon.com showed In Stock with model LG898WRK, brushed nickel.

Pfister Weller LG89-7WRK: shower-only trim

Choose the Weller LG89-7WRK for a walk-in shower with no tub. The Weller sheet (pfisterstorage.blob.core.windows.net) lists the LG89-7WR as shower only. It shares the same handle, round plate and five-function 1.75 gpm shower head as the tub and shower kit, without the tub spout. It also needs a Pfister 0X8 or JX8 valve.

On October 15, 2026, the standard new offer sold by Amazon.com showed In Stock with model LG897WRK, brushed nickel.

Pfister Weller R89-1WRC: valve trim only

Choose the Weller R89-1WRC if you only want a new handle and plate and plan to keep your shower head and tub spout. The Weller sheet (pfisterstorage.blob.core.windows.net) lists the R89-1WR as valve trim only, with the multi-function shower head excluded. It fits a Pfister 0X8 or JX8 valve. This is the smallest change of the four: the plate and handle cover the valve, and nothing else on the wall moves.

On October 15, 2026, the standard new offer sold by Amazon.com showed In Stock with model R891WRC, polished chrome.

Pfister Avalon LG89-8CBK: tub and shower trim, 1.8 gpm head

Choose the Avalon LG89-8CBK for a full tub and shower trim with a larger shower head face. Pfister’s Avalon spec sheet (pfisterstorage.blob.core.windows.net) lists a five-function shower head (full spray, massage, combo, rinse and drench) at 1.8 gpm, SecurePfit with anti handle wobble, easy-to-clean nozzles, no exposed screws, a Quick Connect IP tub spout and a requirement for a Pfister 0X8 or JX8 valve, sold separately.

The drawing shows a 5-19/32-inch shower head face, a 6-7/8-inch round plate, a handle that sticks out 4-1/2 inches and a tub spout 6-5/32 inches long. Listed finishes are polished chrome, brushed nickel and Tuscan bronze.

Check your valve before you order

  • Confirm the valve is Pfister 0X8 or JX8. Both sheets say the trims require one of these valves. Pfister does not list these trims for other brands’ valves. If you are not sure, take off the current handle and plate and look at the valve and cartridge, or check the model on the old trim.
  • Check the wall depth. The Weller sheet lists an optional extension kit, 910-563, for valves set deep in the wall. Measure before install day.
  • Tub spout connection. The Weller LG89-8WR spout is Quick Connect with a removable adapter for 1/2-inch IP connections; the Avalon spout is listed as Quick Connect IP. Look at the pipe stub coming out of the wall where the old spout was.
  • Cartridge wear. If the shower drips or will not hold temperature, a new trim will not fix it; the cartridge inside the valve is the part to check. See our Pfister 0X8 cartridge guide.

Reading a Pfister trim model number

Pfister’s trim model numbers follow a pattern you can read straight off both spec sheets. The first part tells you what is in the box: LG89-8 is a tub and shower trim with a spout, LG89-7 is shower only, and R89-1 is valve trim only, meaning the handle and plate. The next letters name the design: WR for Weller and CB for Avalon.

The last letter is the finish: C for polished chrome, K for brushed nickel, Y for Tuscan bronze and, on the Weller sheet, B for matte black. So the LG89-8WRK is a Weller tub and shower trim in brushed nickel. Amazon listings often drop the dash, as in LG898WRK. Use the full code when matching a replacement handle or a second bathroom, because a finish name alone can cover more than one design.

Which Pfister shower trim should you buy?

Start with what you are replacing. For a tub and shower where everything is worn, the Weller LG89-8WRK or the Avalon LG89-8CBK replace the handle, plate, head and spout at once. The Avalon head face is larger on the drawing and is listed at 1.8 gpm; the Weller head is listed at 1.75 gpm. For a stall shower, the Weller LG89-7WRK skips the spout.

If the head and spout are fine and you just want a new handle and plate, the R89-1WRC is the smallest change. For how the valve inside the wall keeps temperature steady, see our pressure-balancing vs thermostatic valve explainer, and for more Pfister fixtures see our Pfister bathroom faucet guide.
