Best Sloan Sensor Faucet

For a sink with two holes 4 inches apart, pick the Sloan SF-2350. For a single-hole sink or to cover old holes with a trim plate, pick the SF-2150-4. For the longest battery life and above-deck service, pick the BASYS EFX-250. All three are 0.5 gpm and run on AA batteries.

Sloan sensor faucets are commercial hand-washing faucets that turn on when hands come close and shut off on their own. The three here run on AA batteries, so no outlet or wiring is needed under the sink. The first thing to check is your sink: a 4-inch centerset faucet needs two holes 4 inches apart, while a single-hole faucet needs one.

Sloan SF-2350: for a 4-inch centerset sink

Choose the SF-2350 to replace a faucet on a sink with holes 4 inches apart. Sloan’s spec sheet (sloan.com) for code 3362119 lists a brass 4-inch centerset faucet with an infrared sensor, 0.5 gpm multi-laminar spray, a splash-proof control module, adjustable sensor range, a 36-inch sensor cable, a 24-inch flex hose, a filtered solenoid valve with a serviceable strainer, four AA batteries and mounting hardware. It lists a 30-second factory timeout and 0.25 gallons per cycle.

The drawing calls for two holes at least 1 inch across and a deck no thicker than 1-1/2 inches, and shows the spout reaching 4-39/64 inches and standing 4-45/64 inches tall. It connects to a single tempered supply with a 3/8-inch compression connection, or to hot and cold through the 3/8-inch Bak-Chek tee; the sheet lists the check tee as included.

On October 15, 2026, the standard new offer sold by Sloan Marketplace showed In Stock with code 3362119.

Sloan SF-2150-4: single hole with a trim plate

Choose the SF-2150-4 for a single-hole sink, or to cover old holes with its 4-inch trim plate. Sloan’s spec sheet (sloan.com) for code 3362102 lists a brass pedestal faucet with an infrared sensor, 0.5 gpm multi-laminar spray, a 4-inch trim plate for more deck coverage near the spout, the same 36-inch sensor cable, 24-inch flex hose, filtered solenoid valve, four AA batteries and 30-second timeout as the SF-2350.

The drawing calls for a 1-1/4-inch hole and a deck no thicker than 1-1/2 inches, and shows a 3-7/8-inch spout reach and 4-1/2-inch spout height. Sloan shows an optional SFP-30-A kit that adds 2 inches of height.

On October 15, 2026, the standard new offer sold by Sloan Marketplace showed In Stock with model SF-2150; the listing gives Sloan part SF2150-4 rather than the code, and its title matches the back-check tee, 0.5 gpm, polished chrome configuration on sheet 3362102.

Sloan BASYS EFX-250: longer battery life, above-deck service

Choose the BASYS EFX-250 for longer battery life and service from above the sink. Sloan’s spec sheet (sloan.com) for code 3324005 lists a die-cast metal single-hole faucet with double infrared sensors and an automatic setting feature, a solenoid in a removable carrier that shuts off the supply when removed, a supply strainer serviceable from above the deck, an integral water supply shutoff, electronics sealed to IP-67, above-deck indicators for battery life and solenoid condition, a line purge mode, 3/8-inch compression supply hoses, a 10-second factory timeout and 0.083 gallons per cycle.

It lists 3-year battery life at 8,000 cycles a month, a 4 to 5-inch sensor range and a 3-year limited warranty.

The drawing calls for a 1-3/16-inch hole and a deck up to 1-1/2 inches thick, with 13-inch flex hoses. One caution: the drawing for the single-supply version says the Bak-Chek tee for separate hot and cold supplies is not supplied, while the model name includes the tee. Check the box contents before you plan a hot and cold hookup.

Batteries, timeouts and water use

All three run on four AA batteries. Sloan rates the SF models at two years and the BASYS at three years, both at 8,000 cycles a month, so a busier restroom will change batteries sooner. The SF faucets default to a 30-second timeout and 0.25 gallons per cycle; the BASYS defaults to 10 seconds and 0.083 gallons per cycle. Sloan lists an adjustable sensor range on the SF models and adjustable timeouts on the BASYS.

Hot water: tempered supply or check tee

Each faucet has one water inlet. You can feed it a single tempered (premixed) supply, or connect hot and cold through a 3/8-inch Bak-Chek tee, as Sloan’s drawings show. For tempered water, a mixing valve under the sink sets the temperature. Sloan’s BASYS sheet says a thermostatic mixer is ordered separately where a project must meet ASSE 1070, so check your local requirements before you choose the hookup.

Installing and servicing

Service is the biggest practical difference. On the SF models the filtered solenoid valve sits with the control module under the sink, where the drawing shows the supply connecting, so cleaning the strainer means working below the counter. On the BASYS, Sloan puts the solenoid and strainer in a carrier you pull from above the deck, and removing it shuts off the water, so you do not need to reach the stops first.

Before you order, measure the deck thickness under the sink, since all three list 1-1/2 inches as the maximum. Leave room under the sink for the SF control module and the 36-inch sensor cable, or for the BASYS hoses. Sloan links installation instructions, trim plate guides and repair guides from each sheet; the SF-2350 and SF-2150 share one parts breakdown. Our under-sink shutoff valve guide covers the stops you will connect to, and for matching restroom fixtures see our Sloan flush valve guide and waterless urinal guide.

The three here run on four AA batteries; Sloan also sells plug-in and hard-wired versions.

How long do Sloan sensor faucet batteries last?

Sloan rates the SF-2350 and SF-2150 at two years and the BASYS EFX-250 at three years, at 8,000 cycles a month.

What size hole does a Sloan sensor faucet need?

The SF-2350 needs two 1-inch holes 4 inches apart; the SF-2150 needs a 1-1/4-inch hole; the BASYS needs a 1-3/16-inch hole.

What is the flow rate?

All three are 0.5 gpm with a multi-laminar spray, per Sloan.

Can I connect hot and cold water?

Yes, through a 3/8-inch Bak-Chek tee; or use one tempered supply. Check whether the tee is in the box for the BASYS.

How we chose

This document-based guide makes no hands-on testing claim. We read Sloan’s spec sheets for codes 3362119, 3362102 and 3324005 and inspected their rough-in drawings. On October 15, 2026, each linked standard new Amazon offer was sold by Sloan Marketplace, Sloan’s own store; we checked the code or model, stock and add-to-cart button. The Optima EAF-250 was left out because Sloan lists its matching chrome codes as discontinued; hard-wired and plug-in models were left out. Read our selection method and about Plumbing Picks.
