Best Single Hole Bathroom Faucet

Choose the Moen Genta LX 6702 if you may need to cover a three-hole sink: it comes with a deck plate, a metal pop-up drain and a 1.2 gpm flow rating. Choose the Delta 567LF-GPM-PP for a true one-hole sink when you want a lower 1.0 gpm flow and a metal push-pop drain. Before buying either, measure spout reach to your basin, handle clearance at the back and the countertop thickness.

MOEN · CHROME · OPTIONAL PLATE IN THE BOX

Moen Genta LX 6702: included deck plate

Choose 6702 when the Genta LX shape and exact installation drawing fit the basin. Moen’s 6702 specification (maker page: assets.moen.com/shared/docs/product-specifications/6702sp.pdf) lists metal construction, flexible supplies and an included metal pop-up waste assembly. The linked Amazon title, model and manufacturer-part fields all identify 6702.

The drawing gives 4-9/16 inches of spout reach and recommends 2-1/2 inches of wall clearance. Moen notes the faucet installs through 1 hole or through 3 holes that are 1-1/4 inches in diameter and 2 inches on center, which is a standard 4-inch centerset layout. It uses the Moen 1255 cartridge and carries a lifetime limited warranty for the original homeowner.

Skip it if the rim, vessel height or rear obstruction makes the working space unsuitable. Moen warns that more than one version exists under the model number, so use the drawing and instructions that match the delivered faucet. This guide does not cover replacement cartridges.

DELTA · CHROME · EXACT GPM SUFFIX

Delta 567LF-GPM-PP: lower-flow chrome option

Choose 567LF-GPM-PP when the exact Delta model (deltafaucet.com) and its 1.0 gpm-at-60 psi rating suit the project. It is a different flow variant from the similarly named 567LF-PP. The linked Amazon model and manufacturer-part fields both match the GPM version.

The current Rev. J family specification (media.deltafaucet.com) describes a metal push-pop drain without a lift-rod hole and says the escutcheon is not included. Older family sheets describe another drain arrangement. Check the actual box and current instructions rather than assuming an old parts diagram describes the new package.

Skip it if you require a different flow rate or cannot confirm the drain and mounting arrangement. Delta’s exact GPM product page describes single-hole installation; confirm any proposed three-hole conversion and matching plate with Delta before ordering those extra parts.

Measure spout reach against the actual basin

Measure from the faucet-hole center to the usable basin area. Compare that with the manufacturer’s spout drawing, including outlet position and direction. A spout that barely clears the back rim may leave little room for hands even if it technically extends over the bowl.

Check outlet height relative to the sink rim and the space available for normal use. Overall faucet height is not the same as clearance beneath the outlet. A tall-looking faucet can still be wrong for a vessel sink, while a low basin may not benefit from a taller spout.

Use a full-size paper outline or the manufacturer’s dimension drawing to compare the proposed geometry before the countertop is drilled. Include the backsplash, mirror cabinet, handle travel and room needed for cleaning. Do not scale measurements from a product photograph.

No faucet can promise a splash-free result independently of the basin. Bowl shape, outlet direction and the actual stream all matter. Choose a compatible combination and resolve uncertain reach with the sink and faucet suppliers rather than adding an unverified outlet extension later.

One hole, three holes and deck thickness

Count the existing holes and measure their centers. Check the actual hole diameters against the faucet’s instructions. One handle does not always mean one mounting hole, and a cover plate does not automatically span an old widespread layout.

Measure the mounting stack at the exact location, including the countertop, sink deck and any reinforcement that affects the shank. Leave access for the nut and mounting tool beneath the sink. A cabinet rail or tight basin edge can make the under-deck connection impractical even when the top view looks clear.

Moen’s sheet includes an optional deck plate with 6702; Delta’s current family sheet says its escutcheon is separate. Check the delivered accessories, finish and permitted hole arrangement before removing the old faucet. A loose decorative plate from another model is not a verified mounting solution.

Do not enlarge stone, glass or ceramic openings from a guessed dimension. Have the appropriate fabricator or installer assess the actual material and drawing. The faucet should be selected before an irreversible countertop change.

Drain and supply connections

A faucet and its included drain still need to match the sink. Check the drain opening, overflow arrangement, basin thickness and available trap connection. A metal drain in the box is not proof of compatibility with every vessel or overflow configuration.

A lift-operated pop-up and a push-operated stopper use different arrangements. Identify what is delivered before planning rear clearance or connecting old linkage. Our sink stopper guide helps identify those parts if you are comparing with an existing installation.

Check the actual supply-stop connections and the reach of the included lines. Both maker sources identify 3/8-inch compression connections, but use the delivered instructions for routing and connection details. Avoid twisting or sharply bending a line to make a poorly placed stop work.

If a stop will not shut off fully, the sink mounting area is damaged or the drain cannot be matched confidently, arrange the repair before installation. New trim should not conceal an unresolved supply or drain problem.

Flow rate and WaterSense checks

Read the exact flow marking and suffix. Moen’s 6702 sheet lists 1.2 gpm maximum at 60 psi; Delta’s GPM model lists 1.0 gpm at 60 psi. Do not copy the base-model flow onto another suffix, or confuse the faucet’s specified maximum with a guarantee at every home’s pressure.

EPA explains (epa.gov) that WaterSense-labeled bathroom faucets undergo independent certification for efficiency and performance. The maker sheets identify WaterSense for the linked models; confirm the exact current model in the EPA product search (lookforwatersense.epa.gov) when certification documentation is required.

WaterSense is not a drinking-water filtration claim. A bathroom faucet’s flow label does not establish contaminant removal, and a different outlet accessory can change the assembly you are evaluating. Choose compliant parts for the actual project rather than modifying a flow-control device to chase a stronger stream.

Order, install and inspect

  1. Match the complete model. Include finish and flow suffix, then compare the delivered label with the order.
  2. Check the sink geometry. Compare spout reach, outlet height and handle clearance with the actual basin.
  3. Check the mounting detail. Confirm hole count, diameters, deck thickness, plate and under-deck access.
  4. Inventory the box. Confirm the drain, supplies and mounting components before dismantling the working faucet.
  5. Follow the exact instructions. Shut off water and verify isolation before disconnecting supplies. Use a plumber where conditions or connections are uncertain.
  6. Flush and inspect. Use the procedure for the delivered model and check the supply and drain connections for leaks before returning the sink to use.

Delta’s current linked installation manual (media.deltafaucet.com) covers different configurations, so choose the section matching the delivered faucet. Keep the outlet-service tool and model information where they can be found later. Do not apply a flushing or disassembly instruction from a different version simply because its handle looks similar.

Single-hole bathroom faucet FAQ

Will a single-hole faucet fit a three-hole bathroom sink?

Only with the manufacturer-approved arrangement and correctly sized plate. Check the hole centers, diameters, deck thickness and included accessories for the exact model.

Does a taller faucet reduce splashing?

Not automatically. Compare outlet height, reach and direction with the actual basin. Overall faucet height alone does not predict splash behavior.

Does Moen 6702 include a deck plate?

The manufacturer’s 6702 specification lists an optional three-hole deck plate in the package. Confirm the delivered version and its actual mounting instructions.

Is Delta 567LF-GPM-PP the same as 567LF-PP?

No. The GPM suffix identifies a different flow variant. Check the complete model, current drain package and mounting details rather than transferring base-model specifications.

Does WaterSense mean the faucet filters water?

No. WaterSense addresses water efficiency and performance under its specification. It does not establish drinking-water contaminant removal.

How we chose

This document-based guide compares exact maker models and current source revisions; it does not claim hands-on testing or splash testing. The two linked standard new Amazon offers matched their model fields and were in stock on October 14, 2026. We rejected a base-model Delta listing whose title mixed chrome and matte black. Availability, sellers and package revisions can change. Read our selection method and about Plumbing Picks.
