Pick a clawfoot tub faucet by where your tub has holes: the Kingston KS268C for holes in the rim, the KS265C for holes in the tub’s end wall, or the KS266C to mount on the bathroom wall when the tub has no holes. Measure the hole centers before you order; Kingston lists 6-15/16 inches for the deck mount and 3-3/8 to 8 inches adjustable for the tub wall mount.

Clawfoot tub faucets by mount type
| Faucet | Mounts on | Centers and connection (maker) |
|---|---|---|
| Kingston KS268C | Tub rim (deck mount) | 6-15/16 in. centers, 3/4-14 NPSM |
| Kingston KS265C | Tub’s own end wall | 3-3/8 to 8 in. adjustable, 1/2-14 NPS |
| Kingston KS266C | Bathroom wall behind the tub | 6 in. adjustable, 1/2-14 NPT |
A clawfoot tub has no wall of tile around it, so the faucet has to mount on the tub itself or come out of the wall behind it. Before you look at styles, check where your tub has faucet holes: on the flat rim (deck), through the curved end wall of the tub, or none at all. That decides which type you can use.
All three picks are from Kingston Brass, which publishes detailed specs for each model, and all three were sold by Amazon.com on our check date. Each includes a telephone-style hand shower.
Kingston KS268C: deck mount on the tub rim
Choose the Kingston KS268C if your tub has two holes in the rim. Kingston lists (kingstonbrass.com) solid brass, deck mount on 6-15/16-inch centers, drip-free ceramic disc cartridges, triple cross handles, 3/4-14 NPSM connections, a 6-1/16-inch spout reach and 4-5/16-inch spout height, and a hand shower with a 59-inch hose and a vacuum breaker for backflow prevention. Kingston lists 7.0 gpm spout flow and 1.8 gpm hand shower flow at 80 psi.
Deck mount faucets need supply lines that come up to the tub, usually through the floor; Kingston sells risers such as the KSEL268C for this model.

Kingston KS265C: mounts through the tub wall
Choose the Kingston KS265C if your tub has two holes in its end wall. Kingston lists (kingstonbrass.com) solid brass, quarter-turn ceramic disc cartridges, tub wall mounting with a 6-inch center adjustable from 3-3/8 to 8 inches, 1/2-14 NPS connections, a 7-5/16-inch spout reach from the wall and 4-5/16-inch spout height, cross and lever handles, a hand shower with a 59-inch hose and a backflow preventer for anti-siphon, with the same 7.0 and 1.8 gpm flow figures at 80 psi.
The adjustable center is the useful part: older cast iron tubs vary in hole spacing, and a 3-3/8 to 8-inch range covers most of them. Measure your tub’s holes center to center before you order.
On October 15, 2026, the standard new offer sold by Amazon.com showed 13 left with model KS265C.

Kingston KS266C: mounts on the bathroom wall
Choose the Kingston KS266C if your tub has no faucet holes and you can run supplies in the wall behind it. Kingston lists (kingstonbrass.com) solid brass, quarter-turn ceramic disc cartridges, wall mount 2-hole installation on 6-inch adjustable centers, 1/2-14 NPT connections, a 7-3/16-inch spout reach and 4-5/16-inch spout height, cross and lever handles, and a hand shower with a 59-inch hose and a backflow preventer, again rated 7.0 and 1.8 gpm at 80 psi.
Plan the tub position first: the spout has to reach past the tub rim and land inside the tub, so the tub sits close to the wall.

Measuring your tub before you buy
Measure center to center between the two holes on your tub, rim or end wall. Compare it with the faucet’s listed centers: 6-15/16 inches for the KS268C deck mount and 3-3/8 to 8 inches for the KS265C tub wall mount.
Check the hole size and the thickness of the tub wall or rim too. Cast iron and acrylic clawfoot tubs differ, and the mounting shanks have to pass through and tighten. The maker’s spec sheet and installation instructions list the required details; download them from the product page before ordering.
For a wall mount faucet, measure from the finished wall to the inside of the tub rim. The spout reach has to clear the rim with room to spare.
Supply lines, risers and drains
Deck and tub wall faucets need supplies that come up from the floor to the faucet. These exposed supply lines, often with built-in shutoffs, are part of the look on a clawfoot tub, so buy them in the same finish as the faucet. Match the connection: Kingston lists 3/4-14 NPSM on the KS268C and 1/2-14 NPS on the KS265C.
A clawfoot tub drain is usually an exposed drain and overflow kit with a chain stopper or a toe-tap, also in a matching finish. Measure the drain and overflow hole positions on the tub; our bathtub drain types guide covers drain styles.
Wall mount faucets put the supplies inside the wall, which makes a cleaner look but means opening the wall to install the valve bodies and stub-outs at the right height and spacing.
Using the hand shower
All three picks include a telephone-style hand shower on a 59-inch hose, which is handy for rinsing hair or the tub. Kingston lists 1.8 gpm hand shower flow at 80 psi, and a vacuum breaker or backflow preventer on each one.
A clawfoot tub has no shower walls, so water will spray onto the floor if you use the hand shower standing up. For a real shower, use a clawfoot shower riser kit with a ring curtain rod. For a separate hand shower in a regular shower, see our handheld shower head guide.
Hot water and fill speed
Kingston lists 7.0 gpm spout flow at 80 psi for all three faucets, which fills a tub much faster than a shower head. At lower house pressure the flow will be lower.
These are two-handle faucets that mix by hand; Kingston does not list a built-in temperature limit. Local codes may require a temperature-limiting device on a tub filler. Our thermostatic mixing valve guide explains how these devices work; ask your local inspector what applies to your tub.
Other tub faucet types
If your tub sits in the middle of the room and you would rather not run supplies through the tub, a floor-mounted tub filler is another option; see our freestanding tub filler guide. For a drop-in or platform tub with a deck, see our roman tub faucet guide. Our freestanding tub guide covers the tubs themselves.
Frequently asked questions
What kind of faucet does a clawfoot tub need?
It depends on where the holes are: deck mount for holes in the rim, tub wall mount for holes in the tub’s end wall, or wall mount if the tub has no holes.
What is the standard spacing for clawfoot tub faucet holes?
There is no single standard. Kingston lists 6-15/16-inch centers for the KS268C deck mount and an adjustable 3-3/8 to 8 inches for the KS265C tub wall mount.
Do clawfoot tub faucets include supply lines?
Usually not. Deck and tub wall faucets need separate exposed supply lines in a matching finish.
Can you shower with a clawfoot tub faucet?
The hand shower works for rinsing. For a standing shower, add a clawfoot shower riser with a curtain ring.
How fast do these faucets fill a tub?
Kingston lists 7.0 gpm spout flow at 80 psi; flow is lower at lower house pressure.
How we chose
This document-based guide makes no hands-on testing claim. We read Kingston Brass product pages for the KS268C, KS265C and KS266C. On October 15, 2026, all three linked standard new offers were sold by Amazon.com and showed stock. A Kingston leg tub filler was not linked because its listing model number did not match.
