Best Clawfoot Tub Shower Kit

Match the kit to the holes in your tub. For 7-inch holes on the rim, pick the Kingston CCK1171DPL. For 3-3/8-inch holes in the tub wall, pick the CCK3141PL if you want a hand shower, or the CCK4141AX for a gooseneck spout without one. Tubs with no holes need a wall- or floor-mount faucet instead.

A clawfoot tub shower kit turns a freestanding tub into a shower. Each kit here combines a tub faucet with a diverter, a riser pipe up to a showerhead, a rectangular curtain ring with wall and ceiling supports, supply lines and a chain-and-plug drain with overflow. The first thing to match is the faucet mount: it has to fit the holes already drilled in your tub.

Kingston CCK1171DPL: for a tub with 7-inch rim holes

Choose the CCK1171DPL if your tub has two faucet holes on top of the rim, 7 inches apart. Kingston’s product page (kingstonbrass.com) lists a deck-mount tub faucet on 7-inch centers with a 6-inch riser that raises it above the rim, a hand shower on a 59-inch hose, an integral diverter that sends water to the tub spout or the shower riser, a 6-1/4-inch sunflower showerhead, 1/2-inch rigid straight bath supplies 29 inches long, a 58 × 30-inch rectangular curtain ring with a 36-3/8-inch ceiling support, and a chain-and-plug drain and overflow that can be cut to length.

It lists 7.0 gallons per minute from the spout and 1.8 gpm from the hand shower and showerhead, both at 80 psi.

The spec drawing (media.kingstonbrass.com) shows the curtain ring at 58-1/16 × 30-5/16 inches, a wall support adjustable from 12-3/8 to 12-7/8 inches, and about 59-3/16 inches from the riser connection at the faucet to the showerhead. It marks the showerhead at 6-5/16 inches across, slightly more than the page’s 6-1/4 inches.

This kit matches the 7-inch rim drillings on the 72-inch cast iron tub in our clawfoot tub guide. On October 15, 2026, the standard new offer sold by Amazon.com showed limited stock with model CCK1171DPL.

Kingston CCK3141PL: tub wall mount with a hand shower

Choose the CCK3141PL if your tub has two holes in its side wall, 3-3/8 inches apart, and you want a hand shower too. Kingston’s product page (kingstonbrass.com) lists a tub-wall-mount faucet on 3-3/8-inch centers with 3/4-14 NPS connections and a down spout, a hand shower on a 59-inch hose with a cradle on the riser, dual integral diverters, a 62-inch shower riser with a 6-1/4-inch sunflower showerhead, single offset bath supplies, the same 58 × 30-inch ring and ceiling support, and a cut-to-length chain-and-plug drain.

Flow figures match the deck kit: 7.0 gpm at the spout and 1.8 gpm at the showers, at 80 psi.

The spec drawing (media.kingstonbrass.com) shows the faucet body standing 3-3/8 inches out from the tub wall, 10-3/16 inches across the handles, about 58-3/16 inches from the riser inlet to the showerhead, and offset supplies 22-9/16 inches tall with a 3-7/8-inch offset.

On October 15, 2026, the standard new offer sold by Amazon.com showed an add-to-cart button with model CCK3141PL; the page did not show a separate stock line.

Kingston CCK4141AX: tub wall mount with a gooseneck spout

Choose the CCK4141AX for a tub-wall-drilled tub when you want a tall gooseneck spout and do not need a hand shower. Kingston’s product page (kingstonbrass.com) lists a tub-wall-mount gooseneck faucet on 3-3/8-inch centers with a 7-15/16-inch spout reach and 10-5/16-inch spout height, cross handles, a metal diverter lever that switches water between the showerhead and the tub spout, a 61-7/8-inch shower riser, a 5-inch showerhead, single offset bath supplies, the 58 × 30-inch ring with ceiling support and a cut-to-length chain-and-plug drain. It lists 7.0 gpm at the spout and 1.8 gpm at the showerhead, at 80 psi.

Kingston’s included-parts list has no hand shower, but its spec sheet (media.kingstonbrass.com) titles the faucet page “Wall Mount Tub Filler with Hand Shower.” Its drawing also marks the showerhead at 4-13/16 inches across and shows 55-5/8 inches from the riser inlet to the showerhead. Go by the parts list and plan on no hand shower.

On October 15, 2026, the standard new offer sold by Amazon.com showed an add-to-cart button with model CCK4141AX; the page did not show a separate stock line.

Match the kit to your tub’s holes

Look at your tub before you shop. Holes on the flat top of the rim mean a deck-mount faucet, and the distance between hole centers must match the faucet: 7 inches for the CCK1171DPL. Holes through the tub’s wall, just below the rim, mean a tub-wall-mount faucet; the two tub-wall kits here need 3-3/8-inch centers. If your tub has no holes, neither style bolts to it. Use a wall-mount or floor-mount faucet and add a shower riser and curtain ring sized for it, as covered in our clawfoot tub faucet guide and freestanding tub filler guide.

The 66-inch and 51-inch tubs in our clawfoot tub guide have no faucet drillings, so these kits do not mount on them as sold.

Plan the showerhead height and the curtain

Kingston’s drawings measure the riser from the faucet connection up to the showerhead, not from the floor. To estimate the showerhead height in your bathroom, add the height of the faucet connection above the floor, which depends on your tub, its feet and the faucet style. Check that result against the people who will use the shower before you order.

The curtain ring hangs over the tub, held by a wall support at the faucet end and a ceiling support near the other end. Kingston lists a 36-3/8-inch ceiling support, so measure from the ceiling down to where the ring will sit. Kingston’s parts lists for these kits do not include a curtain; a clawfoot shower needs a curtain long enough to hang inside the tub all the way around.

Supplies, drain and installing the kit

All three kits come with exposed bath supplies that rise from the floor to the faucet and a chain-and-plug drain with overflow. The supplies on the tub-wall kits are offset 3-7/8 inches so they reach the faucet on the side of the tub. Before the floor is finished, place the hot and cold supply stub-outs and the floor drain where the tub and faucet will sit, and plan shutoff valves at each supply so the faucet can be serviced. Our bathtub drain guide explains drain styles.

Kingston publishes an installation manual for each kit; follow the one for your model. When it is in, turn the water on, check every joint for leaks, run the diverter both ways, and fill the tub to check the drain and overflow.

Frequently asked questions

Can you put a shower on a clawfoot tub?

Yes. A clawfoot shower kit adds a diverter faucet, a riser to a showerhead and a curtain ring around the tub.

What size is a clawfoot tub shower ring?

Kingston lists 58 × 30 inches for all three kits here; the drawings show 58-1/16 × 30-5/16 inches.

Do clawfoot shower kits fit any tub?

No. The faucet must match the tub’s holes: 7-inch rim holes for the CCK1171DPL, or 3-3/8-inch tub-wall holes for the CCK3141PL and CCK4141AX.

Do these kits include a hand shower?

The CCK1171DPL and CCK3141PL include one on a 59-inch hose. Kingston’s CCK4141AX parts list does not include one.

What is the flow rate of a clawfoot shower kit?

Kingston lists 7.0 gpm from the tub spout and 1.8 gpm from the showerhead at 80 psi for all three kits.

How we chose

This document-based guide makes no hands-on testing claim. We read Kingston Brass product pages and rendered and inspected the spec drawings for the CCK1171DPL, CCK3141PL and CCK4141AX. On October 15, 2026, all three linked standard new offers were sold by Amazon.com; the CCK1171DPL showed limited stock and the other two showed an add-to-cart button but no separate stock line. Where a drawing and a product page differ, we say so. Read our selection method and about Plumbing Picks.
