This guide covers Moen bathroom sink faucets for the three common sink layouts.

Moen Adler 846034 in. centerset, 3 holes1234; 1.2 gpm at 60 psi
Moen Genta LX 6702Single handle; 1 hole or 3 with included plate1255 Duralast; 1.2 gpm at 60 psi
Moen Dartmoor TV6805Widespread, 3 holes, valve included1234 Duralast; 1.2 gpm at 60 psi

Bathroom faucets are chosen by the holes in the sink first and style second. A centerset faucet sits on a single base over three holes 4 inches apart. A widespread faucet has a separate spout and two handles spread farther apart. A single-handle faucet needs one hole, and many come with a plate to cover three. Look under your sink or at the old faucet before you choose.

Moen Adler 84603: 4-inch centerset

Choose the Moen Adler 84603 for the most common bathroom sink, with three holes 4 inches apart. Moen’s spec sheet (maker page: assets.moen.com/shared/docs/product-specifications/84603sp.pdf) lists a two-handle lavatory faucet for 3 holes at least 1 inch across, metal construction, lever handles, 1/2-inch IPS connections that accept a standard ball-nose connection for 3/8-inch tubing, an included pop-up drain, the Moen 1234 cartridge, 1.2 gpm maximum at 60 psi, WaterSense certification, decks from 1/8 to 1-3/16 inches thick, and a lifetime limited warranty for the original consumer purchaser.

Moen Genta LX 6702: one handle, one or three holes

Choose the Moen Genta LX 6702 for a clean single-handle look. Moen’s spec sheet (maker page: assets.moen.com/shared/docs/product-specifications/6702sp.pdf) lists a one-handle lavatory faucet for 1 hole or 3 holes with the included optional deck plate, flexible supply lines with 3/8-inch compression fittings, a metal pop-up drain, a lever with red and blue indicators and a 100-degree temperature arc, the 1255 Duralast cartridge, 1.2 gpm maximum at 60 psi, WaterSense certification and a lifetime limited warranty for the original homeowner.

Moen Dartmoor TV6805: widespread with valve included

Choose the Moen Dartmoor TV6805 for a widespread sink. The listing describes the TV6805 as the Dartmoor two-handle high-arc widespread faucet with the valve included. Moen’s T6805 trim spec sheet (maker page: assets.moen.com/shared/docs/product-specifications/t6805sp.pdf) lists installation through 3 holes at least 1-1/8 inches across with the valves through 1-1/4-inch holes, the 9000 or 69000 valve, the 1234 Duralast cartridge, 1.2 gpm maximum at 60 psi, lever handles, and Moen service kit 175709 for decks 1-1/2 to 3 inches thick.

Buying the trim and valve together in one box avoids the most common widespread mistake: ordering a trim that does not match the valve already in the vanity. If you are replacing an old widespread faucet, the new valve replaces the old one too, so plan to work from under the sink.

Measuring your sink holes

Measure from the center of the left hole to the center of the right hole. About 4 inches means a centerset faucet like the Adler. About 8 inches or more usually means a widespread faucet like the Dartmoor. One hole means a single-handle faucet like the Genta LX, which also covers three holes with its deck plate.

Also check the hole size and deck thickness against the spec sheet. Moen lists a 1/8 to 1-3/16-inch deck range for the Adler and a service kit for thick decks on the Dartmoor, which matters on thick stone vanity tops. Our single-hole faucet guide covers one-hole sinks in more depth.

Cartridges: 1234 vs 1255

The Adler and Dartmoor use Moen’s 1234 two-handle cartridge, while the Genta LX uses the 1255 Duralast single-handle cartridge. Knowing the cartridge makes repairs easy: when a faucet drips or a handle gets stiff, you can buy the right Moen cartridge by number. Our Moen cartridge guide covers the single-handle cartridges, including the 1255.

Two-handle faucets have a cartridge on each side. If only hot or only cold drips, you may only need to replace that side’s cartridge. Turn off both stops before pulling a cartridge, and take the old one to the store or match it by number so the replacement fits the first time.

The pop-up drain

Moen lists a pop-up drain with the Adler and a metal pop-up with the Genta LX. If you are replacing a faucet on an older sink, the new drain matches the new faucet’s finish and replaces a worn stopper at the same time. Our pop-up drain guide covers drain types, and our stopper repair guide covers fixing one that will not hold water.

Finish codes and matching

Moen identifies finishes by a suffix on the model number. On Amazon listings, no suffix or C usually means chrome, BN or SRN means brushed nickel, BL is matte black and ORB is oil-rubbed bronze. Confirm the full model number with the suffix before ordering, and buy towel bars and other hardware in the same finish. For finish-specific picks, see our brushed nickel, black and gold bathroom faucet guides.

Installing a Moen bathroom faucet

Shut off both stops, disconnect the supplies and the pop-up rod, remove the old faucet and clean the deck. Set the new faucet with its gasket or plate, tighten it from below, connect the supplies and install the drain with the sealant the instructions call for. Run the water, check for drips, then flush the faucet by removing the aerator for a few seconds to clear debris.

Our faucet installation guide walks through the steps, and our supply line guide covers replacements for old supplies.
