Best Workstation Kitchen Sinks (2026)

Plumbing Picks is reader-supported. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you.

Quick answer from a licensed plumber: Buy the Ruvati RVH8222 if you have a 36-inch base cabinet and want a workstation sink: 33-1/2 x 19 inches, dual-tier ledge, offset drain, 16 gauge stainless. Pick the Kraus KWU110-32 for a workstation sink sold by Amazon itself, the RVH8356 for a 60/40 double bowl, the RVG2302WH for granite composite, or the RVL2387WH for a fireclay farmhouse that needs cabinet work. Measure the minimum cabinet first.

Our pick for most kitchens: the Ruvati RVH8222 dual-tier workstation sink. Check the Ruvati RVH8222 on Amazon

A workstation sink adds a ledge around the bowl so a board, colander or rack slides across the top. That can free counter space, but it also changes the fit: these sinks are large, deep, and each has its own drain position. Four of the five picks are Ruvati, because Ruvati publishes a spec sheet for each model and its workstation sinks were in stock on Amazon when we checked. The Kraus Kore is a second maker’s take on the same idea. The five are a dual-tier stainless sink, a Kraus stainless sink, a double bowl, a granite composite and a fireclay farmhouse. The basics of mounting, gauge and bowl count are in our undermount vs drop-in kitchen sink guide.

Figures come from the makers’ spec sheets and product pages, which disagree in places, listed below. On September 28, 2026 all five Ruvati listings were sold by RUVATI, the maker’s Amazon storefront, and the three stainless Ruvati sinks shipped from Amazon. The two Kraus listings were sold by Amazon.com. Availability changes, so check the listing.

Best Overall

Ruvati RVH8222 33-Inch Dual-Tier Workstation Sink

16 gauge T304 stainless (18/10) · 33-1/2 x 19 in outside · 31-7/8 x 16 in bowl, 10 in deep · undermount · dual-tier ledge · offset drain · sharp inside corners · 36-inch minimum cabinet · limited lifetime warranty (Ruvati)

The RVH8222 is Ruvati’s Dual-Tier workstation sink, and it comes with the most prep accessories of the sinks here (our count). The ledge runs at two heights, so a board or tray can ride the upper tier while a colander or the wood platform works on the lower one. Ruvati lists a reversible cutting board, a wood platform with a mixing bowl and colander, a 3-bowl condiment tray, a folding drying rack, a bottom rinse grid, a basket strainer, a drain cover, mounting clips and a cutout template. Its spec sheet and product page agree on the contents and on every size.

The plumbing feature is the offset drain. Ruvati says the sink can be installed with the drain on the left or right, so you can put it on the side with more room for the trap or a disposal. Ruvati says the 3-1/2-inch drain opening fits any standard disposal. For a disposal, use the flange that comes with it instead of the included strainer; Ruvati does not include one. Ruvati also says the bottom slopes 1 inch toward the drain, and its spec sheet lists sound-guard padding and undercoating. The bowl is 10 inches deep, so measure the space under it before you plan a disposal and a trap.

  • Two-tier ledge with the most prep accessories of the sinks on this page (our count from Ruvati’s box lists)
  • Offset drain can go on the left or the right, per Ruvati
  • 16 gauge T304 stainless with sound-guard padding, per Ruvati
  • Spec sheet and product page match on size and contents
  • Sharp inside corners, per Ruvati’s spec sheet
  • Needs a 36-inch base cabinet for a 33-1/2-inch sink
  • A 10-inch bowl puts the drain lower, so check the wall drain height (see Before You Buy)
  • Undermount only, so the countertop has to suit it

Verdict: The pick for most kitchens with a 36-inch cabinet that want a workstation sink, especially if the disposal or trap needs to sit on one side.

Best Sold by Amazon

Kraus Kore KWU110-32 32-Inch Undermount Workstation Sink

16 gauge stainless · 32 x 19 in outside · 30 x 16 in bowl, 10 in deep · undermount · integrated ledge · rear-offset drain, 3-1/2-inch opening · near-square side corners, rounded at the bottom (Kraus drawing) · 36-inch minimum cabinet, 24 inches front to back · cUPC certified · limited lifetime warranty (Kraus)

The Kore is Kraus’s take on the workstation sink, and this listing is sold by Amazon itself. Kraus lists a stainless bottom grid, a bamboo cutting board, a roll-up drying rack, a strainer with a decorative cover cap, mounting hardware and a cutout template in the kit. Its spec sheet gives NoiseDefend undercoating and sound-dampening pads, a 3-1/2-inch drain opening and a rear-offset drain. Kraus says the sink can be installed reversed, and that the drain center sits 5 inches from the back wall of the sink, which is a number to check against your wall drain.

Kraus is specific about the ledge. Its spec sheet says not to install the sink with a negative reveal, because the workstation accessories will not fit; its manual recommends a 3/8-inch positive reveal, or a flush one. The manual also says it is not recommended for a laminate countertop, and that it performs best when a licensed professional installs it. Kraus says a disposal replaces the strainer and mounts to the sink with its own flange. On a 33-inch cabinet, the second button is the 30-inch KWU110-30: 30 x 19 x 10 inches with a 33-inch minimum cabinet per Kraus’s manual, and 16 gauge with a rear-offset drain per its product page.

  • Sold by Amazon on the listing we read
  • Kraus gives cabinet depth (24 inches) as well as width, per its spec sheet
  • Drain can go on either side, since Kraus says the sink can be installed reversed
  • NoiseDefend pads and undercoating, per Kraus
  • Kraus advises against a negative reveal, which would cover the ledge
  • Not recommended for laminate countertops, per the Kraus manual
  • Kraus’s page lists a 10-1/2-inch outer depth; the spec sheet and manual say 10 inches
  • Fewer accessories in the kit than the Ruvati RVH8222 (our count)

Verdict: The pick if you want the workstation sink sold by Amazon itself, from a second maker, with a spec sheet that gives cabinet depth as well as width.

Best Double Bowl

Ruvati RVH8356 33-Inch 60/40 Workstation Sink

16 gauge T304 stainless (18/10) · 33 x 19 in outside · bowls 18 x 16 in and 12 x 16 in, 10 in deep · undermount · single-tier ledge · two rear-center drains · sharp inside corners · 36-inch minimum cabinet

The RVH8356 is Ruvati’s Roma workstation sink in a 60/40 split: an 18 x 16 inch left bowl and a 12 x 16 inch right bowl, both 10 inches deep. The wide bowl takes the big pots, and the narrow one can handle rinsing or a disposal. Ruvati lists a stainless colander, a solid wood cutting board, a folding drying rack, rinse grids (the page says a set of two; the spec sheet lists one), two basket strainers, two drain covers, mounting clips and a cutout template. The ledge is single-tier, and the inside corners are sharp, not rounded.

Two bowls means two drains, both at the rear center. Ruvati supplies two strainers but no trap or drain kit, so plan a double-bowl trap or continuous waste kit (a plumber’s note, not from a maker document). If a disposal goes on one bowl, Ruvati says to use the flange that comes with the disposal in place of that bowl’s strainer. On a 33-inch cabinet, the second button is the 30-inch single-bowl RVH8310 from the same collection: 30 x 19 inches outside, 28-1/2 x 16 inch bowl, 10 inches deep, a 33-inch minimum cabinet, and the same single-tier ledge and sharp inside corners, with a colander, board, rack and rinse grid in the box.

  • Bowl split of 18 and 12 inches gives a large bowl and a small one, per Ruvati
  • Stainless colander, board, rack and rinse grids in the box, per Ruvati
  • 16 gauge T304 stainless with sound-guard padding, per Ruvati
  • The RVH8310 alternative fits a 33-inch cabinet
  • No trap or drain kit is listed in the box
  • Sharp inside corners, like the other Ruvati stainless picks here, take more effort to wipe clean (our reading)
  • Needs a 36-inch cabinet (RVH8310: 33 inches)
  • Spec sheet and product page name different rinse grid part numbers, and one grid against a set of two

Verdict: The pick if you want a disposal on one side and a bowl for rinsing on the other. Choose the RVH8310 if the cabinet is only 33 inches wide.

Best Granite Composite

Ruvati RVG2302WH Granite Composite Workstation Sink

Granite composite, 80% crushed natural granite (Ruvati) · Arctic White · 32-1/4 x 19 in outside · 30-5/8 x 16-1/2 in bowl, 9 in deep · undermount · single-tier ledge · offset drain · rounded corners · 36-inch minimum cabinet

The RVG2302WH is a single-bowl granite composite sink from Ruvati’s epiStage line, made in Italy per Ruvati. Ruvati says the color runs all the way through and the material is non-porous and stain-resistant. Corners are rounded, the bottom slopes 1 inch toward an offset drain that can go left or right, and the box holds a composite cutting board, a folding drying rack, a silicone bottom grid, a matching strainer and a cutout template. Ruvati’s product page says it withstands up to 356°F; the spec sheet and the granite care guide give no temperature, so keep hot pans on a trivet.

Read the size before you order. The name and the Amazon title say 33 inches, but Ruvati’s spec sheet and the dimension line on its product page give 32-1/4 inches outside, so cut from the template, not the name. Ruvati’s care guide says to wash it weekly with dish soap, dry it after use, and never use steel wool. It says scratches can be polished out with a mild abrasive pad, and hard-water stains treated with a straight or 50% vinegar solution left on for an hour. Ruvati sells a drop-in version, the RVG1302WH, per its product page.

  • Rounded inside corners, per Ruvati
  • Color runs through the material, per Ruvati
  • Composite board, folding rack and silicone grid in the box
  • Offset drain can go on the left or the right, per Ruvati
  • Named 33 inches but measured 32-1/4 inches outside by Ruvati
  • Ruvati’s Q&A says its stainless-sink accessories do not fit, though its spec sheet disagrees
  • The bowl is 9 inches deep, against 10 for the stainless sinks here

Verdict: The pick for a stone-look sink with rounded corners, if you check the 32-1/4-inch size against your cutout.

Best Fireclay Farmhouse

Ruvati RVL2387WH Fireclay Farmhouse Workstation Sink

White fireclay apron-front · 33 x 18-3/8 in outside per the product page (32-1/2 x 18-3/4 per the spec sheet) · 31 x 16 in bowl, 9 in deep · rounded corners · center drain · 36-inch minimum cabinet · made in Italy (Ruvati)

The RVL2387WH is a single-bowl farmhouse sink with workstation ledges front and back. Ruvati says it is true Italian fireclay fired at 2900°F, with a glossy enamel finish. The box holds a cutting board, a folding drying rack, a bottom rinse grid and a basket strainer. The page and the sheet do not agree on thickness: Ruvati’s spec sheet says 1/2 inch, and its product page says 1 inch and adds that the thick fireclay bottom may need an extended disposal flange. Measure before you buy a disposal for it.

A farmhouse sink is a cabinet project. Ruvati’s guide provides no cutout template and says to use the actual sink to set the cutout. It calls for a 2×4 support frame strong enough to hold 200 pounds once installed, with the rim level with the cabinet top, and recommends an experienced cabinet maker. For care, Ruvati says not to set a very hot pot straight on the surface, since a pot just off the burner can pass 600°F and cause permanent damage, and to keep bleach, acids, solvents and drain cleaners out of it.

  • Farmhouse look with workstation ledges, per Ruvati
  • Rounded corners and a glossy enamel finish, per Ruvati
  • Board, folding rack, rinse grid and strainer in the box
  • Ledge accessories front and back, per Ruvati
  • No cutout template; the cabinet has to be built or modified around the sink
  • Needs a support frame rated for 200 pounds, per Ruvati
  • Spec sheet and product page disagree on thickness and size
  • A disposal may need an extended flange, per Ruvati

Verdict: The pick if you want a white apron-front sink and have a cabinet maker for the fit. Pick a stainless sink if the cabinet is standard.

Where the Makers’ Pages and Spec Sheets Disagree

We compared each product page with its spec sheet. These are the conflicts. Treat sizes as nominal and cut from the template.

  • RVL2387 thickness: the spec sheet says 1/2-inch solid fireclay; the product page says 1 inch thick.
  • RVL2387 size: the spec sheet gives 32-1/2 x 18-3/4 inches outside with a 31-1/2-inch bowl; the page gives 33 x 18-3/8 inches with a 31-inch bowl.
  • RVG2302 size: the name, the Amazon title and the product page’s attribute table say 33 inches; the spec sheet and the page’s dimension line give 32-1/4 inches outside.
  • RVG2302 accessories: the page lists LedgeFit compatibility, and the spec sheet puts the same folding rack (RVA1395) in the box as the stainless sinks, but the page’s Q&A says accessories for the stainless sinks cannot be used and points to a different model, the RVG2306. Ask Ruvati before you buy extras.
  • RVH8310 bowl: the spec sheet gives a 28-3/8-inch bowl width; the page gives 28-1/2 inches.
  • RVH8356 rinse grid: the spec sheet lists one grid, part RVA68035; the page says a set of 2, and its Q&A gives the part as RVA68356. Confirm with Ruvati before you order a replacement.
  • Kraus KWU110-32 depth: Kraus’s page lists 10-1/2 inches outer depth; the spec sheet and the manual list 10 inches (their drawings show both figures).

Before You Buy

  1. Measure the cabinet, not the sink. Use the minimum-cabinet number on the spec sheet, and open the cabinet to see what is inside. Measure from the countertop down to the center of the drain pipe in the wall. A 10-inch bowl with a disposal puts the disposal outlet lower than a 9-inch bowl does, and the trap arm has to fall toward the wall, not climb to it (a plumber’s note, not from a maker document).
  2. Check the countertop. Undermount sinks hang from the underside of the counter, and Kraus’s manual says its workstation sinks are not recommended for laminate. Ruvati recommends a 1/4-inch reveal and Kraus a 3/8-inch positive reveal; Kraus warns that a negative reveal blocks the accessories. Both recommend a professional installer. Our undermount vs drop-in guide covers materials and mounting.
  3. Pick the drain position. The RVH8222, RVG2302 and Kraus KWU110-32 have offset drains you can put left or right, the RVH8356 and RVH8310 have rear-center drains and the RVL2387 a center drain. Dry-fit the trap and disposal outlet before you choose. See garbage disposal sink flange replacement and our disposal picks.
  4. Plan the faucet. No faucet holes are listed on the Ruvati or Kraus sheets we read, and Kraus advises against drilling extra holes in a stainless sink. Keep the spout high enough to clear a colander or tray sitting on the ledge (our reading). See kitchen faucet hole size and best kitchen faucets.
  5. Know the warranty. Ruvati’s guides describe a limited lifetime warranty for residential use, to the original purchaser only; accessories, rinse grids and strainers are excluded, and labor is not covered. Kraus’s manual describes a lifetime limited warranty for the original purchaser, for personal household use, when bought from a Kraus authorized dealer; it does not cover labor. Kraus’s where-to-buy page lists Amazon as a preferred online retailer, and both Kraus listings we link were sold by Amazon.com.

Plumbing Notes for a Workstation Sink

The connections are the same as any sink swap: drain, trap, supply lines and the dishwasher hose. Ruvati says the included strainer is for standard plumbing only, and both makers say a disposal uses its own flange. Once the sink is in, check the joints with the water running, and if the old sink leaked below, read kitchen sink leaking underneath. Replace old angle stops while the cabinet is empty; see our under-sink shut-off valve picks. A spare or damaged strainer is a basket strainer job, and Ruvati sells deep-basket versions as accessories.

FAQ

What is a workstation kitchen sink?

A sink with a ledge around the rim that carries sliding accessories such as a cutting board, colander or drying rack over the bowl. Ruvati says its workstation sinks work with 40 optional LedgeFit accessories that swap between its workstation sinks, but its own Q&A says the stainless accessories do not fit the granite RVG2302, so check before you buy extras.

How big a cabinet does a workstation sink need?

Read the minimum cabinet from the spec sheet. Ruvati lists 36 inches for the RVH8222, RVH8356, RVG2302 and RVL2387, and 33 inches for the 30-inch RVH8310. Kraus lists 36 inches for the KWU110-32 and 33 for the KWU110-30. Our arithmetic: that is 2-1/2 to 4 inches wider than each sink.

Can I use a garbage disposal with these sinks?

Yes. Ruvati lists a 3-1/2-inch drain opening that fits a standard disposal and says to use the flange that comes with the disposal, not the strainer in the box. Kraus says the same: the disposal replaces the strainer and mounts with its own flange. On the fireclay RVL2387WH, Ruvati says the thick bottom may need an extended flange. Measure the flange stack before you buy a disposal for it.

Do these sinks come with faucet holes?

None of the Ruvati or Kraus spec sheets or pages we read list faucet holes, so plan on a hole in the countertop or a wall-mounted faucet (a plumber’s note, not from a maker document). Check the faucet’s hole size before you buy.

How do I clean stainless, granite and fireclay?

The makers’ guides differ by material. Stainless: Ruvati says to wash with normal detergent and warm water, use a nonabrasive cleanser such as Barkeeper’s Friend, scrub with the grain, and never use bleach or steel wool; Kraus also says to avoid chlorine, bleach and ammonia. Granite composite: wash weekly with dish soap and use vinegar on hard-water stains. Fireclay: no very hot pots straight on it, and no bleach, acid, solvents or drain cleaners.

Bottom Line

Start with the minimum cabinet and the drain position. The Ruvati RVH8222 is the workstation sink to buy for a 36-inch cabinet, the Kraus KWU110-32 is the one sold by Amazon, the RVH8356 adds a second bowl, and the RVH8310 and Kraus KWU110-30 fit a 33-inch cabinet. The RVG2302WH is granite composite, and the RVL2387WH is a farmhouse sink that comes with cabinet work. Check the conflicts above, and cut the countertop from the template.
